Our server was phenomenal. She was helpful, attentive, and had a great sense of humor. Our salad with steak was delicious. The fish and chips were some of the best I have had since visiting Ireland and Great Britain. Drinks were good and strong. Skip the restaurants in Chester and eat here.
We thoroughly enjoyed our birthday dinner at the Red Onion Grill. Food was very good, service was wonderful, and the desserts were amazing, especially the mango ice cream in a white chocolate shell. We will definitely be back!

We like Red Onion quite a bit. In the summer we like to sit on the deck and in the winter it is cosy and quiet indoors. There really are only two restaurants within the peninsula area; more in the Hamilton Branch area, but if we want to stay close in we alternate between Il Lago and the Red Onion. Il Lago is loud and fun but not a good place if you want to have good conversations due to the noise level.
