Fresh sushi! The best I’ve had in LA. Japanese owned. Great service
The food! I live in NY and have to say, this off beat exquisit inconspicuous little gem can’t be found there. No hype, great atmosphere, creative authentic food. I’ll be back!
The food was amazing
Fantastic!
I've been following Jun, the owner, for over twenty years now, and I’m so happy to see them settle into their new spot at White Oak and Sherman Way. It's super convenient, especially with the Korean market right next door.
There are so many sushi places in Los Angeles, but what sets Bar Uerukamu apart is their amazing appetizers and creative drinks. It’s a great spot even for friends who don’t drink straight shochu or aren't big on sushi. Their appetizers are truly unique—not your typical fried gyoza or teriyaki chicken. You can tell there's originality and thought put into the menu. Also all the stuffs are very friendly, sweet and attentive!!
Always the best!
Amazing authentic Japanese izakaya. Would fit right into Tokyo. The staff are very friendly and the food/drink was on point. We will be back!
Everything was great!
Real Japanese izakaya, like being in a little neighborhood in Tokyo. Amazing sake selection, probably the best in LA and nothing too crazy in terms of price. Don't expect sushi rolls, be kind and considerate, it's a small place but a neighborhood gem if you're into real, authentic Japanese food.
Amazing food. Truly world class. It's worth a trip from out of state.

Authentic sushi experience! My wife and I felt like we were in Japan for the night!
This is not your typical sushi bar... please be respectful!
Amazing and authentic izakaya. Felt like I was in Tokyo and the staff are amazing. For sure make a reservation and everything in the menu is delicious.
Remains the best place to eat quality sushi. Have been coming to this place for years and it is the only sushi restaurant I’ve eaten at that I have never had a single bad meal. Jun just has an uncanny ability to always source the best ingredients and give you the type of dining experience I’ve only been able to replicate in Japan. Just make sure to make a reservation since they are usually fully booked most nights.
I am Japanese and I love bar Uerukamu! Everything is so good. They have things that other sushi restaurants don’t offer Wide variety of sake and dishes. Like izakaya but sushi is amazing too. Highly recommend
Food was delicious & beautifully presented. A nice surprise to see they have a lot of non-sushi Japanese food - all authentic but elevated. Thoughtful sake menu. A gem.
