The main waitress here in the mornings is so friendly and love the kiddos. This is our favorite breakfast spot when we have the kids. The menu has a very large selection and so far everything has been good.
While a number of restaurants lost their good cooks after the lockdown, and now we order food and wonder what happened to those days we had food without it being burnt, cooked dry, or over seasoned with pepper. Then go to Lakeside Cafe & Bakery and have your food cooked by Jorge, a well established 30 year cook who loves to cook and cares about his craft. Samantha “Sam” is wonderful. Such a treat. Jorge cooked me a full-flavored chorizo scramble with beans. Salsa and sour cream on the side. And some nice warm flour tortillas. Then I ordered three large cinnamon rolls to go. I’ll have to write about them later. Plus I have to come back as locals say the fish tacos are “so good.” ALOHA.
