However, the restaurant has faced significant criticism. The wait for food can be very long, even when the restaurant is not busy, with poor communication about delays. Some find the food odd, expensive, and not good value, leaving them hungry. Specific complaints include shabu with very little meat, tasteless dashi broth, and tasteless broth in the tempura fried shrimp udon noodle bowl. Sushi rolls receive mixed feedback; the fried California roll is noted as the best, but others are not that good, often overwhelmed by heavy sauce. The restaurant currently does not have a liquor license, so it serves no alcohol. The wagyu and some other menu items, including certain sushi options, are no longer available. The ambiance includes wood paneling and a mild smell of plywood. Service can be slow for seating and ordering, regardless of how busy it is. While some see exceptional potential and plan to return, others would not recommend it and do not plan to go back.
