Manantial Salvadorean Restaurant is a hidden gem offering authentic Central American deliciousness. The food is fresh, tasty, and made with care. Pupusas are a standout, described as the best ever tried. The rice pupusas have a soft, buttery texture, while the pupusas de maíz taste fresh and not like generic corn flour. Specials like Pupusas Revueltas are excellent. Other dishes like the fried plantain with beans and sour cream, and the Desayuno Tipico (Typical Breakfast), are very authentic and delicious. The loroco and spicy salsa that accompany the pupusas are made to perfection.
The restaurant also serves many breakfast options all day and features a variety of snack treats. Their all-natural Agua frescas, including an authentic horchata, and fresh green juice are highlights. For dessert, they offer many fun flavors of ice cream made fresh, including rolled ice cream and a strawberry and cheesecake frozen treat, perfect for a hot day.
The inside is a cute, clean little place. Service is very friendly, attentive, and nice. Prices are reasonable. While not fast food, meals are received in a timely manner by staff who work hard to bring their best forward. It is a highly recommended spot for excellent food and service.
