Sotherton was a really nice place to have my first afternoon tea experience. The setting is nicely decorated and charming. It is located just off a beautiful, scenic boulevard in Lincoln. You are given a selection of teas and can try as many as you like. The staff is attentive and the food was much better than I expected (based on other reviews I had read). I really enjoyed myself here. It felt elegant but not stuffy, the staff were attentive, and the food was quite good and there was plenty of it. We tried 3 or 4 different teas and all of them were brewed well, I didn't notice any bitterness in them that you'd find from tea that's steeped in water that's too hot. I will probably come back again
