Disappointed by the Booking Experience

I was really looking forward to our visit, but unfortunately, the booking experience left a bad impression. I paid a security deposit when reserving our tasting in advance, and when our group arrived (on time and with plenty of availability), the deposit wasn’t refunded or applied to our bill—even after we paid for 10 tastings.

What was most frustrating is learning that if we had just walked in without booking online, we wouldn’t have had to pay a deposit at all. It feels like we were penalized for planning ahead.

This isn’t something I’ve experienced at other wineries in the area, and it left us disappointed. There are many great wineries in Livermore with more transparent policies, so unfortunately, we won’t be returning.

Wine was ok, but customer service was really mixed. Some of the ladies are really nice, others not so much. We left earlier than expected, but we found another winery in the area that had better wine and was much more child friendly.

Lovely outdoor patio during the warmer weather and good wine.

Got to spend a beautiful afternoon at 3 Steves Winery. Great view, refreshing white wine and friendly staff makes this a place a winery win!

We thought this place was pretty great. A very jovial atmosphere where people seemed to know each other. Not to say you need to be a regular, we were treated like friends as well. That includes our dog, although she didn’t get her 2024 Livermore vintage but that’s okay! I was also quite please with the wines. None of them were bad and some of them were really quite good. Definitely try the white dessert wine to finish off the day if you like lightly burnt syrupy pancake flavor. Yum!

3 Steves is an exceptional winery with consistently good, well rounded wine. We recently returned after 10 years and I can honestly say it's just as good if not better than I remembered. Marion and his wife Jody took great care of us during our tasting and we had the privilege to sit and chat with one of the Steves. Each time we've gone, we've been treated like family. Hghly recommend!

During our visit to Livermore, we had the pleasure of stopping by 3 Steve’s Winery not once, but three times throughout the week. Each visit was better than the last, which is a true testament to the exceptional experience offered here.

Alex, Jason, and Robin were some of the funniest and kindest people we met on our trip. Their knowledge and passion for wine were evident, and they truly made us feel welcome. They are the epitome of excellent wine stewards, each bringing their unique charm and expertise to our tasting experiences.

After visiting 13 wineries in the area, 3 Steve’s stood out so much that we decided to join their wine club. One delightful surprise was their Sangria – it's an absolute hidden gem and truly to die for.

We highly recommend 3 Steve’s Winery to anyone visiting Livermore. Whether you're a seasoned wine connoisseur or just looking for a fun and friendly place to enjoy some great wine, you won't be disappointed. This place, along with Alex, Jason, and Robin, made our visit unforgettable. Cheers!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER hands down. We have come here plenty of times and never been treated like we were this time. Being Latinos we face discrimination all the time but rarely in the Bay Area. Today it happened here as soon as we walked in. We were told if we had a reservation off the gate when we never been asked such question. Then she told us that they don’t allow food outside but she’ll let this one pass. When a month ago we saw a group of old Caucasian ladies with a basket of food. So we’re like OKAY. The whole time one specific lady in the back continued to stare at us with a weird judgy stare like we didn’t belong there. They need to hire more welcoming staff that don’t discriminate people because of the color of their skin. We never felt this uncomfortable we drank one bottle and left.

The wine is very good, but Carol is THE BEST. Go for the wine and views, stay for Carol! Thanks for a lovely afternoon.

Great winery and very good tasting flight. We did the white wine flight but they offered some reds as well. The sparkling wine was also very good. The last Steve, the head brewer, and the resident pup gave us a nice tour of the facility and talked about the grapes and the process. Highly recommend as a stop on a wine tour for good wine and friendly staff. We will definitely be ordering some wine for shipment.
