This used to be a pretty good, if a little expensive, lunch spot. Now it is way too expensive for only pretty good sandwiches. $20 for a sandwich and $4.50 for a CAN of diet coke is out of this world ridiculous. Head down the street to pretty much anywhere else downtown.

Went here based on a random recommendation from a friend because I had mentioned I would be running some errands in the area. Walked in, was greeted immediately, place was clean but had a very 80s vibe going on. The person at the register asked if I was just ordering a sandwich, I said yes and he said I could just use the kiosk if paying with a card, that worked fine. After just a couple of minutes while I sat at the counter, got my sandwich and went home with it. This was a mistake. I ordered the "Friday I'm in love" sandwich with pastrami, turkey, swiss cheese, their godfather sauce, and american slaw. Don't get me wrong, the sandwich was still amazing when I got home, the mistake is realizing that it would have been even better eating it sooner rather than after my drive home. I've got no idea what is in their godfather sauce, but it's flavorful and well seasoned when most places just to a garlic aioli. The slaw on top was just the right amount of veg, and yes the sandwich was pricey however the quality and even still the quantity more than made up for it. I've got no idea how they do it, but I've got a new sandwich spot.
Parking: They share a parking lot with the shopping center they're in, plenty of parking in the middle of the weekday.

We have eaten here twice… The first time Dined in, and the second time we ordered to go. Absolutely loved the retro Italian atmosphere… Made me feel like I was walking in to my Sicilian Nanna’s! The food is Absolutely amazing… And authentic.

This is THE place for sandwiches. We’ve tried their other food items but they were really disappointing, so tried their sandwiches and we’ve never looked back. They are loaded with meats and delicious ingredients and are huge. They are a little pricey but completely worth it. Their sourdough bread is *chefs kiss* they add godfather sauce to everything so I normally don’t get it because it makes the sandwich soggy and their coleslaw could use a revamp. The onion rings are made in house and are always crunchy and delicious. The restaurant always has a weird smell so we get our sandwiches to go. The interior is very in your face “Italian” and all the decor is dusty and looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since they opened. The guy that sometimes answers the phone is a little rude but you can be rude all you want as long as you keep making these amazing sandwiches.

I had a Californian sandwich here on Dutch crutch bread and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! The young female server was also extremely sweet and delightful.

I travel to San Francisco every year and I never miss the opportunity to visit Americano in the beautiful city of Livermore. The atmosphere is spectacular and the food is delicious. They have the best lasagna in all of California. The sandwiches are huge and delicious. The service is the best. As always, thank you. I will be back soon.
