Cafe Calamari is a small restaurant with a great staff, both in front and in the kitchen. Our meals were DELICIOUS and served promptly. Great flavors done in authentic Greek style. We will return for another meal soon.

We started with their lemon soup which I enjoyed because of its balanced taste... Full lemon flavor but not too acidic. The grilled octopus was nicely charred. It was fresh and tender but not spongy. The grilled branzini was also nicely charred tender flaky and delicious! The lamb burger was the best we had in the east bay. The meal start to finish was wonderful. We plan to return with friends!

Fabulous restaurant for the fish. Had a wonderfully cooked branzino. So did my wife. We come here often for the great food! Had a wonderful turkish dessert-shredded phyllo and mild cheese and honey and pistachios. Yum!!

The food at Café calamari is fantastic. We had the mix grill so we got to taste all the different meats, wonderful. They have this Turkish dessert that sounds like baklava when you read the menu, but it’s different. It’s made with phyllo leaves, honey, and pistachios like a baklava. But it also has cheese and then it’s bake and served hot. It was delicious.

Stopped by here after a day of wine tasting and the food did not disappoint! The meatballs were delicious, the combo grill cooked perfectly and the homemade bread amazing! We even had the rice pudding for dessert, super yummy as well. Highly recommend! Service was fast, they had recommendations for what was the best food options and even catered to an allergy!
Very pleasant dinner at Cafe Calamari. Both of our entrees were very tasty and quite filling. I had the lemon chicken soup, which was something I have never tasted, and really enjoyed it. Service was friendly and attentive. We ate outside on the small patio which made for a relaxing dinner. First time dining here, but we will definately be back.

Great Turkish-inspired meal in downtown Livermore. We had the lamb kebab, which was a substantial portion of spice-flavored, high-quality lamb, perfectly done, and the wild mushroom ravioli in a light cream sauce. Both were delicious. Service was attentive and provided helpful recommendations. We will definitely be coming back!

The food here is incredibly flavorful and well cooked. I went with my wife this weekend and ordered the lunch special lamb burger and it was really delicious and packed a lot of flavor. My wife ordered the salmon and she really enjoyed it. We highly recommend it.
