McGrail Vineyards and Winery

I had the best experience today with Kim. She was so attentive and made sure I found my favorite wines to ship back to Texas. The Cabernet’s are amazing here! Highly recommend!

Had the best wine tasting experience Thanks to Kim Codey she knew every detail of every wine down to the taste. Learned a lot of the winery itself learned the history of winery and of the wines. They were named after family members especially the cutest names were that of the grandchildren. Also it's place where you can bring your kids and food celebrate anyway you like. They have the ? for the adults to purchase and live bands playing at times iI definitely will be coming back with family and friends Love the view all aroind

Lovely location in the countryside East of Livermore. Great views and nice building.
This location has the Napa model for tasting i.e. shown to a table with an assigned employee and a minimum $25 tasting fee for four wines. Low key however, with no pushy sales pitch such as we have recently experienced in Napa and Sonoma.
Wines are mostly reds although there are chardonnay and sauvignon blanc offerings for those who want them. We tasted a nice Malbec but Cabernet Sauvignon is the dominant red for this winery and we were impressed with everything we tasted. We were familiar with McGrail wines through friends and were not disappointed.
We did join the wine club and there were two departures from what we usually see in our nearby Lodi wineries. First, 3 bottles have to be purchased immediately to join the wine club and that is hard to do here for under $200. Second, only one tasting is forgiven when signing up for what will approach a minimum $1000 a year commitment.
A pleasant experience and we look forward to future visits.

Stopped here with some friends on Saturday for a tasting. The view is beautiful and the wines were great! We loved the Cab Reserve. Will definitely come back for more.

Beautiful place. Good and pricey wine selections. I didn't get the impression of being friendly from the staff. No smiles.

I had an event planned at this beautiful venue..Lisa and the staff were so friendly and helpful.the views are gorgeous.

My friend has a cousin that is in a band. His band went up to this Vineyard Winery and had a session for the people there. The atmosphere was great beautiful landscapes and great people to have fun with. You get to to where the grounds, wine tasting, can have parties there, or birthdays there. But the people were very polite and helpful a very nice place to have a first date at or a company function. Would recommend it to anybody.

Loved sitting on the patio and having the wine come to us for the tasting. One is able to see and walk the vineyards nearby. Close to Livermore and Scandia Labs. One of the few wineries open during Wednesday afternoon.

Super family oriented, nice people. Not Napa, but, nice.

Beautiful property and delicious wine. The barrel room and patio are massive so I'm sure this winery can get busy by the wine is very good and they have all kinds of jams, dressings and oils from local vendors on sale.

Great view and decent wines. If you like Cabelnet Sauvignon, this is the good place to compare various products in one of the tasting course. Delis are available.

They have indoor and outdoor seating areas, the view in the outdoor seating is gorgeous, and the wine tasting experience is awesome.

Wonderful ambiance and atmosphere..Came to the members pick up even today. Enjoyed the wine tasting and sitting on the patio listening to live music. The patrick James was delicious..They all were. The patriot was the second favorite. There wasn't a wine there I did not like
