The staff are really friendly. The menu has plenty of choices, but it does state "please no changes" - which really means no substitutions, removing something because you don't eat it is fine.Parking: Plenty of parkingWheelchair accessibility: On the ground level, easy access

2nd time here and seriously some of the best food I’ve ever had. Carlos has been our server and he is very nice and makes great recommendations. I wish this place was closer so I could be here everyday.

Not sure how people rave about this place. Personally, I thought it was pretentious, overpriced and an overrated Mexican restaurant .I had their 48.00 dollar thin sliced ribeye , in a vinaigrette dressing of some sort , and plain Spanish rice. The steak was like a minute steak that was overcooked. Then they drowned it in this “vinaigrette sauce” that was too sour to enjoy. My girlfriend had their 30.00 dollar beef short ribs enchiladas.. no rice and or beans , it just came with little chopped vegetables, which had no flavor.Price for an old fashion was 18.00 dollars. We got the bill and they had the wrong price for drinks, and one of the dinner plates. This place is not for me ..

Wife and I made a reservation a few days before. We have eaten here before, its better than average. Tonight was particularly bothersome. I had no idea I had booked the patio. It was cold outside. I asked if we could sit inside as there were 5 open tables, 2 tops. I was told no. Understood, I booked the reservation. It was kind of luke warm with heat lamps, but the traffic noise on Murietta was obnoxiously noisy. At the end of our dinner, there were still 4 2 tops available. The appetizer came, which was cauliflower and it was delicious. We shared the avacado salad which too was delicious! Then the main course came. I had no utensils and the waiter did not notice. I had the ribeye, my wife had the sea bass. My steak came cold.. like it had been sitting out. My wife's was luke warm. I sent mine back and asked for utensils. After 5 minutes, my steak came back overcooked but hot. After about 4-5 bites I realized it was very salty and could not consume the rest. Very dissapointed for $48.All in all, the service was good, some of the dishes were delicious. I will try again, but tonight was not good.

We ate outside, it was lovely. My daughter had the chicken enchiladas which she enjoyed. I had the watermelon salad and stuffed poblano. The poblano’s tomatillo sauce was tasty and the yellow squash had crunch. An excellent vegetarian dish!

My friend and I went there tonight. We made a reservation and waited for 30 mins and nobody offered to help. Two tables behind us even already got their Margaritas. We went to the host and let them know that we’re not gonna wait and leaving. The owner/manger chased us out and called us “Girls girls!!” And tried to offer free meals and said the server is usually pretty good and not sure what happened. First of all, Girls?! We’re not some teenagers, please be respectful. Don’t call your customers girls! Second, don’t make an excuse. Just train your employees better. When customers seat there for more than 30 mins and already had several eye-contact with the serves(not one but two), nobody offered to help. That shows some issue with the management!

I went there with my friend because my past experience was good. We were seated outside on the patio and waited almost 30 mins. There were 2 servers walking around and I made eye contact several times. Still no one serve us, but they were able to serve other people that came later than us. I then walked inside and told the person that everyone else on the patio were served except for us. I told them we’re very tired of waiting and we’re leaving. The owner/manager flagged us down yelling “girls girls girls” at us and offered us free meals if we stayed. I told him no. We left because I told my friend of my good experience here only to be ignored and left disappointed.

What an adorable little gem in Livermore. This is authentic, cozy and different. There is both indoor and outdoor patio seating and the atmosphere is nice in both. We sat indoors but I appreciated the coverings over the patio that created shade and matched the vibe of the restaurant. We had the Guacamole with shrimp and the Cesar salad with chicken. Both were delicious. The Guacamole was outstanding. The heirloom tomato really makes it standout and the vinaigrette is a very nice unexpected touch making the dish full of flavor. The shrimp were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The portion was large for the Cesar salad. It was served with Avocado on the side, again the seasonings on the chicken were perfect. Worth the hour drive to visit. Check this place out.

This restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with a welcoming atmosphere and ample indoor and outdoor seating options. They have a respectable assortment of wines and scotches, although their cocktail selection is somewhat limited. As widely acclaimed in reviews, their watermelon salad is exceptionally delicious. You can order it in regular or single portions, and I recommend the single portion as it pairs well with other entrees like tacos. Alternatively, you might want to consider their Caesar salad. The Seabass tacos are my personal favorite, and they are served with the mouthwatering watermelon salad, making for an amazing combination. The chicken tacos are also fantastic and are accompanied by Mexican rice, white beans, and salsa.Overall, this is a place you should definitely check out. Enjoy your visit and have a great time

Review UPDATE!!!! Long road trip and totally confused this place with another. This place was PHENOMENAL. From the outside you never know what you’ll get but inside, the service was fun and amazing. Enchiladas were divine. Zero complaints and if I lived here, would be a regular. Loved it!! Definitely go.

Our lunchtime visit to Posada Alta Cocina was nothing short of exceptional. Managed with finesse by the owner and former chef, Eduardo, the establishment radiates warmth and culinary brilliance. Meeting Eduardo in person further cemented our appreciation for this gem of a place. The expertise of their sommelier, a former Wente winery hand, was evident not just in the wine selection but also in curating the liquors for their full bar. The choices were refined, high-end, and catered to every palate. It comes as no surprise that they were the proud recipients of the 2023 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. Such accolades are truly well-deserved!A huge shoutout to John Dutra for hosting us and ensuring our experience was memorable. From the tantalizing dishes to the impeccable service, every aspect of Posada Alta Cocina was delightful. We highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to indulge in a world-class lunch in Livermore. We're already excited for our next visit!

Googled best Mexican restaurant in Dublin/Livermore. Wanted to find out why it's rated #1. Highly recommend Posada! At first you already know this was going to be a great experience. Choice of eating inside or patio. Very classy with fresh white table cloth, plates, glass and utensils placed at each table. Menu is simple but very descriptive. Had the carnitas tacos and was very impressed on taste and presentation. I regret not taking a picture to share. Rice was tasty and moist. White beans could be improved with some cheese topping. Didn't get a chance to try their alcohol drinks as I was driving through town but maybe next time with company. Service was very friendly and prompt. Not far from freeway. Pricing very affordable and deserving.
