We looked forward to dining again at Zephyr after their closure this year & recent reopening with a “new” menu. I expended a better meal & it was truly disappointing. I had the Parmesan Lemon Sole, accompanied with mashed potatoes & vegetables. Everything on my plate looked bland & tasted bland. The fish had zero flavor, had to ask for some lemons, which didn't help. I had a cup of butternut squash soup as appetizer & that was OK. We passed on dessert. Overall it was a disappointing dinner & I don't think we'll return. The restaurant & bar were packed & noisy on a Saturday night. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing? The other menu items better must be better & more flavorful????
Unfortunately our experience was disappointing. Our appetizers were cold. Took forever to get drinks and “new menu” isn't great. We liked going here prior to the kitchen fire. Was not impressed considering how expensive it is.
So glad Zephyr has reopened after the fire, and everything is as good as it was before. I had the Pasta Piacere, it's a steak and gorgonzola dish and was incredible. My Manhattan cocktail was delicious and strong. Our server, Karen, is an outstanding server. She took care of us with great attention to detail, plus she has a fun and friendly personality. Great job Zephyr! We will be back and recommend to others.
The food was good. It was very loud which made conversation difficult. Prices have gone up.
Suppose to be a chop house. better step up with steak, was very dissapointed, it was half inch thick, payed good money for a half inch thick steak, you can't even cook properly that kind 0f steak!
A good place to be able to come back to. We used to frequent it more often before the fire and we just got reintroduced. Nice ambience great happy hours. And of course took advantage of their Veterans Day meal honoring veterans. Quite crowded for a 4:30 PM venue, but possibly that would be the Veterans Day but that did increase the noise level a little bit. All in all a great experience.
It was Veterans Day and the restaurant had a special menu for Veterans, which has a variety of selections, I'm sure each as good as the next...I chose the baby back ribs, fries, with jalapeno corn, which was delicious. Service was prompt, professional, and friendly.
We really enjoyed our meal at the Zephyr. We regularly enjoyed dining at the restaurant and when it shut down for the four months or so we were quite bummed out. Needless to say they are back up and running and highly suggest them as a place to visit. Food, service and drinks are always great.
Great food! Linda was our server and she is outstanding. Had a great evening on Zephers reopening in a very happy well attended night!
karen was excellent. service was great.food came out fast and was very tasty. rib eye was grilled to perfection. highly recommend

Easy to reserve, air conditioning failed the day before so indoor and outdoor temps were simila and uncomfortable for customers and servers, waited 10 min before server discovered me in a booth, stellar service after that, food was very good.
Went here after spending the day in Livermore. Located in quaint downtown area of old Livermore. We visited on a Monday evening. Restaurant had a small number of guests. Service was attentive. Food was good. Had butternut squash soup and grilled pair salad for appetizers! Parmesan Lemon Sole and Molasses Glazed Meatloaf for our entrees. Brought part of meatloaf home for a great next day sandwich.
My wife’s favorite place for happy hour! Martini Mondays are the best! Happy hour menu is wonderful, but you really cannot go wrong with anything there. Staff is always very kind and accommodating. Our favorite little spot, and then you can hop over to the Vine to see a show.👍🏽
We come here often. Service is always excellent. Servers are friendly and attentive. You never feel rushed. Food was fantastic. I ordered from the Summer special menu. I had the chicken caprese. It was so delicious. Chicken was a bit crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside with a delicious sauce. I also ordered the summer watermelon salad. It was also equally delicious and a perfect salad for summer. It had a great refreshing flavor. . My dining partner had my favorite stand by, meatloaf in a molasses sauce. Always yummy and satisfying. Topping off the meal was the strawberry shortcake. Fresh berries and whipped cream over a sponge cake. So good. I highly recommend The Zepher. Just as good as any San Francisco restaurant without the traffic. Never disappointing
Food was really dry
