I’m from Virginia, so I think I’m a good judge of bbq. And this bbq was easily some of the best I have had. The chicken was slow smoked so well, it was good with or without sauce. And the beans! There were remnants of a very meaty ham hock. And as much as I hate to admit it, the slaw was better than my mom’s. On the way out, we picked up pecan pie and peach cobbler. Both the bomb. If you drive through lockford, this place is a must.

The service was nice you order inside and pickup there or at a window outside. Outside seating only but the decor is fun. The sandwiches are covered with so much BBQ sauce you can't taste the meat or slaw. The slaw was on the sweet side and has a funny spice, cinnamon?, that makes it off putting. The corn bread is dry and tastless but the beans are good. The baby back ribs were the best and we were greatful the sauce was on the side after the over sauced sandwiches.

Amazing BBQ! Ribs perfectly smoked, juicy, meat falling off the bone. Even the beans and corn bread are worth the drive. Best BBQ place for many miles.

4 of us had lunch here today , 3 had the pulled pork sandwhich w coleslaw , sides were Mac and cheese and potato salad , 1 had the tri tip plate , corn bread muffin , potatoe salad. Lemonades and water to drink All delicious ! Very pleasant greeting , prepared with care ! Stop by if passing through or getting your sausages in Lockeford,
YOU HAVE TO TRY THE BANANA PUDDING
Nice outside seating on a sunny day too much roud noise ribs pulled pork and brisket are ok avrage sides where not good I would just stick main dish no sides
Pros: Big portions, flavorful green beans, moist cornbread, clean organized establishment, quick food
Cons: Dry tough brisket. Had to drown it in the bbq sauce. Definitely not the melt in your mouth, no sauce necessary that makes brisket worth having.
Overall flavor and service was good but disappointed in the entree considering the reviews that brought me here.

The food is delicious and the personnel are very friendly
Great food quick service Mac N cheese was amazing meats were delicious the sauce is on point definitely stoping the next time I make that drive
Food was stellar. Everything home made. Pies were awesome. Had the trifecta of ribs, brisket, and chicken. With sides of potatoe salad (yum) and green beans. Finished it off with a pecan pie, but they apparently have a banana pudding to die for (just not into them myself).
Only quip was no indoor seating which in November, at night, gets quite chilly. But the food warms you right up. Plenty of outdoor seating, including tables and a bar (not for drinks). Great jazz on satellite radio finishes this great place. 9/10 from me.
usually, i get the tri tip sandwich it is really tender, this time it was tough and full of fat disgusting
To my taste maybe a little over smoked I like a little chew off the bone will I go back you bet ?
