First time here. Very friendly staff which all appears to be family. Got their mushroom shrimp Shiu Mai. They were fresh and wonderful and much larger than the usual one-bite version most places offer. We also got their Fried Pork Dumplings and their Shrimp Rice Noodle Roll. Both were light, fresh, and very flavorful. We've had versions of these before at other places and these stand up very well in comparison. The two new to us dishes were the Salted Egg Custard Bun and the Cantonese Sponge Cake. Going in we did not know if these were sweet or savory, and the staff could have easily advised us, but we chose to be surprised. Both are on the lighter side of sweet and were excellent! Would order all of the above again. Another standout is their Lemon Tea. Very refreshing! Not an extensive dim sum menu but what is there is choice!

Advertised that it's under new ownership and rebranded name. I wanted to continue supporting local businesses but I can't support a restaurant with out of date thinking! They give preferential treatment to large parties (5+). If you plan to have a cozy couples dining experience expect to wait! and/or be skipped over! There were 3 sets of couple who would constantly check to see if their name was crossed off the list wondering why people who newly arrived would be seated first. Safe to say we walked out and vowed never to return to a poorly run venue. Their loss because we usually order a substantial amount of dishes because we usually drop off food to family who couldn't join. As of this posting several of my friends, co-workers, family and Club members are now aware of their practice. We all agree that you should serve all fairly and not cherry pick expecting to reap large party orders. Long winded post but I felt it should be shared. Consumer beware!

A delicious dim sum spot in Lomita. We arrived about 10 minutes after they opened on a Friday and were seated immediately. The outside of the restaurant is pretty standard strip mall, but the inside is very modern and clean! They provide a menu to fill out, along with another menu with pictures of the food. We found the prices reasonable and the dishes all very fresh. The rice rolls with shrimp were the perfect texture, and the sticky rice flavorful without being too greasy (like many other places). The bathroom was clean, and we'd definitely come back again for another brunch!

Affordable, great taste, service is on par. They have just enough variety of dumplings to make it worth your time here. I always love finding these mom & pop shops that perform better than their big name competitors.Hopefully they do well, and open up more restaurants around OC too!

Ordered my standard Dim Sum favorites on-site for take-out, and was not disappointed. Steamed pork bun, shrimp shui mai, pot stickers, sesame balls and veggie spring roll really hit the spot at home.

We went past 13:00 on a weekday for lunch (this place closes at 14:00) and there were not many customers other than one other table. We loved the classic xiaolongbao, mushroom & prawn shaomai, steamed prawn dumplings, century egg & ham (?) congee, iced lemon tea and egg tarts. It was our first visit here and also my mother-in-law’s first time trying dim sum. When we asked for a fork for my MIL, the staff were very accommodating.I grew up eating dim sum in China and am a big fan of Hong Kong cuisines - the food reminded me of home.

This place is too small for a push cart dim sum trays. All the food had to order in a peice of paper. Then the server brings out dim sum. I want to see the dim sum and just point my finger for them.

We really didn't care for most of what we ate. Only the Fried Dumpling & Egg Tarts were yummy good! I would definitely get these again! Service was mostly poor and the other food was not tasty. The Rice Noodle Roll was way to thick! Also, no Chinese Hot Mustard on the table, it was regular Mustard! We will probably not return since there are places we like to have Dim Sum.

Never thought I would be reviewing a Dim Sum place in the South Bay. A very positive review anyway. But this is it!I grew up in the SGV….626…..San Gabriel Valley. Alhambra/Monterey Park etc. Hands down this is where all the best Asian food in Southern California is. I will drive the 45 min-hour to go up there and get Asian food from there if time and my schedule permits.I’m so glad I found 101 Dim Sum. Their food is on par with the places in the 626. I ordered and honestly was not expecting much. But WOW!You can tell how good a dim sum place is by their egg custard tarts. This place has amazing ones! The BBQ pork buns are also amazing! So glad I found a decent dim sum spot finally in the South Bay without having to drive to Gardena.

Love dim sum and was excited to try a new place nearby. However, we did not even get to try the food since their customer service was terrible. We arrived and no one acknowledged our presence. No "hello," "welcome," or "May I help you" from the hostess/cashier. When we asked how long of a wait, we were told fifteen minutes--there was only a couple ahead of us waiting to be seated. We asked if there was a list to put down our names (by this time there were more people waiting behind us) and the hostess/cashier seemed confused by the idea. We stepped outside and I tried ordering online, but many items appeared as "sold out." When asked if we could order to go, the hostess/cashier once again seemed baffled and inconvenienced by the idea. We were then told it'd be a 45-minute wait. We decided to leave and support another local business.

Finally some legit dim sum in the south bay. You’d be hard pressed to find anything better without going out to SGV.

Best dim sum in town!!!

Don’t be deceived by the look from the outside, inside it is clean and nice. The food is very delicious. Price may be a bit pricey compared to other place but definitely worth it. They even make their own chili sauce which is also real good!

Everything here is made to order and the food is incredibly fresh, no carts or sitting around. Beyond the Dim Sum being hot and fresh it also tasted phenomenal. Like the best I've had since living near Irvine. This is the best dim sum and dim sum service in South Bay.We used to drive 30 minutes to get dim sum we didn't really like, now we will happily come to this place and not drive but half the distance.
