Nothing is finer than Jersey Mike’s for dinner! Perfectly located in lone Pine, California enabling a 3 PM departure and dinner at five, and a Chevron gas station. Gas up the car and stomach!

There are SO many things to observe while you wait to order and they meticulously craft your meal! Literally you can get any drink of your imagination, a hot AND/OR cold sub, souvenirs AND go to the restroom. Staff clearly works very hard!

Shop stocked with everything, but so-so quality cloths and very high prices, like the petrol station. Maybe they take advantage of it because it is the first shop and petrol station just outside Death Vally after having traveled so many miles in the desert without finding anything

So glad we stopped here. What a beautiful picnic area in front of the tallest mountain in the sierras to eat a great sandwich. Friendly employees and clean.
Not even 6 days of starving in the backcountry could redeem this sandwich or this experience. The sandwich made me miss the freeze dried foil packages I’ve been eating. Perhaps still worth visiting if only to witness a piece of deli meat shaved down to the thickness of a single molecule, which I didn’t think possible. Make sure the deli attendant watches you pay for the sandwich closely or he’ll chase you down and ask you to pay a second time.
