The waitress was so busy she had a bad attitude. The salad was bad in spots. My chicken was tender & good; my husband's Club sandwich had real turkey in it; he liked it..

We arrived and it was busy, but still managed to get our meals pretty quick. Everyone was nice and I have to say that the burger was indeed the best!!

Literally a terrible place. The service was awful, they didn’t even greet us. I had to pay before getting my food, and when it finally arrived, they forgot to include the three sauces that are supposed to be included in the price. Honestly, do not eat here. I didn’t even eat my food because I don’t trust that it was prepared in a clean environment.

Rustic. I wasn't a fan of the spaghetti. They left the Bay leaves in the meat sauce. Salad was good.

It was my birthday journey and I stopped here to have a good burger. It was the best burger I have in a long time. I highly recommend them.
Classic American menu with views of Mt Whitney from the patio. Service was friendly and they had a large variety of items on the menu from burgers to tacos.

Very tasty diner with SO much history. Take a moment to check out all of the film memorabilia! Open face turkey sandwich and chicken friend steak were so good post backpacking!

In addition to food service, Mt. Whitney Restaurant in Lone Pine is also somewhat of a local museum. There’s a lot of history stored here. Old photos adorn every wall, and historical items fill shelves and display cases nearly everywhere you look. When you walk in it’s almost as though you’ve stepped back in time. For us, the servers seemed indifferent. Maybe it was because the summer season rush had come to an end and everyone was beat. The meals we had over two visits were good enough; not great, but good. For claiming to have the “best burgers in town” we found the patties to be thin and somewhat lacking in taste. The corned beef hash had all the flavor but the portion was rather small. There’s every reason to believe that this restaurant can do better. I’m sure they’ve had better days, but unfortunately we missed out. The coffee cups are quite nice. We bought a couple to commemorate climbing the peak.

Back for more! Love the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The elk burger was such a unique experience. Great food, souvenirs, and ice cream.

Standard American roadside dive/diner with standard American fare that averages about $20 per meal. Great burger and fries. Places like these aren’t too common anymore. Would definitely go back. Perfect place to relax with a meal and beer after a long excursion
