We stopped in Lone Pine and were pleasantly surprised by the vegan options at The Grill. While not a vegan restaurant, they offer several plant-based choices that made it easy for us to enjoy a decent meal. My hubby and I both ordered the vegan burgers—Impossible or Beyond (we’re not sure which)—and they were great! I opted for mine lettuce-wrapped since the bun isn’t vegan, and I appreciated that the menu clearly stated this option. The burgers came with avocado, which always makes me happy. My husband, who’s usually picky about fries, was seriously impressed with theirs—crispy, flavorful, and not overly greasy. High praise from someone who usually only likes fries in France! There were other clearly labeled options, including a veggie burger (in addition to the vegan burger), veggie wraps, a Mediterranean veggie pita, and salads with mixed greens, quinoa, and seasonal veggies. The menu felt inclusive and thoughtful for vegetarians and vegans alike - especially for a small town. Our server was really warm and friendly, and the restaurant itself was clean, relaxed, and comfortable. A great stop if you're traveling through the area and looking for vegan-friendly food. I was about to order a dine out food the lady (Hispanic looking) about middle age approached me and had eye contact with me and seems ready to take my order and when I started ordering she kind of had attitude said " oh there are few people here before you and you have to wait for your turn. She can say it in a nice way but the way she talks shes kind of demeaning , looks like she doesn't want her job.I just left because Im passed off.

I came to The Grill before and after hiking Mt Whitney, and it was an excellent decision. Most of my hike is a blur of exertion and freezing cold wind, but the pork chops I had before and the jalapeno burger I had after both stand out firmly in my memory. Perfectly cooked, seasoned beautifully. The rosemary butter sauce lingered on my tongue all the way to Outpost camp, and the jalapenos were roasted just right to welcome me back to the warmth of a more sane elevation.
All kidding aside, The Grill is worth a stop if you're in the area. I also had their strawberry rhubarb pie with ice cream as my dessert, and it was absolutely comforting in a way I didn't anticipate. I hadn't had rhubarb pie in a long time, and I guess I tapped into some childhood memories.

We showed up right at the 9:00 p.m. closing time and the staff was kind enough to serve us. The waitress was very kind and attentive, while she also had to deal with an unfortunate customer that was also dining there late. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody stopping through or visiting lone pine. Food was very good but the service was fantastic.
Thank you!

Bobby is awesome and made the whole experience great. I started healthy with a lettuce wrapped California burger, then somehow finished off with a giant ice cream sandwich and a glass of wine. He’s super personable and a real joy to converse with. The atmosphere is laid back, the doors are open, the weathers great, and the vibe just felt right.
They had vegan burgers which tased great! Waitress lady was very nice and helpful.
There are also several vegetarian options on a menu like cheeseburger, lettuce wrap and salad.

Delicious food with very friendly service. The staff paid more than enough attention to us. Explanation about the meal but also about the surroundings.
Coincidentally, someone who once emigrated from the Netherlands also works there.
The location is on the main street, but it is not too busy.
