The food was delicious as always. Frances was very attentive, yet not overbearingly so, and answered all of our questions with well informed answers. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and will be back!
It gets better with the time. We have known Ammatoli since the restaurant open for first time, and it has been a good experience since the first time. Every time that we go back the beautiful chef surprise us with delicious flavors and really natural food.
Amazing food and ambiance! It was our first time there and we were guided on menu selections by our waiter, Chase. We tried items we would have never picked ourselves and were greatly pleased! Highly recommend requesting Chase for an awesome experience! Can't wait to go back!
Outstanding as always. The pita is amazing, so fluffy and light. I like to keep it simple with the tomato avocado salad and adding some protein to it. The white wine was perfectly tart and refreshing. Service is always on point. Can't wait to come back!
Brought a client here for lunch, so wanted something special. Was not disappointed! Food was outstanding. Great service and comfortable upscale environment. Would highly recommend!
Excellent food and service. Loved the Turkish coffee and the apps. The wine list was great as well.
Food and service were again fantastic! This is our go to Middle Eastern (Lebanese) restaurant! The spicy roasted chicken is out of this world, and we always love the shawerma. Get there in time for happy hour and there is a discount on the 3-Way Mezze plate to start off your dinner.
Nice restaurant with a beautiful ambiance that was close to a concert we were attending that evening. The restaurant was quite full, so that was probably what accounted for the slightly lax table service. The food was good but not excellent. All in all, it was a nice experience.
We had such a great experience at Ammatoli. We started with the Muhammara and fresh, warm, pita bread. For entrees, we ordered the chicken shawarma and the spicy garlic lemon chicken. Both were packed with flavor and cooked beautifullytender, juicy, and seasoned just right. The garlic lemon chicken had the perfect punch of heat and tang. The vibe was warm and lively, with the dining room full with happy customers. Our waiter, Pete aka “Pete-a bread”, made the experience even more enjoyable with his friendly energy and great service. We'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu!
My husband and I tried AMMATOLI for the first time tonight, and had an absolutely fabulous meal. We ate the roasted beets labneh, hummus, and fresh homemade pita to start, and OMG was it superb. It was also so pretty. Really stunning presentation. My husband ordered moussaka for his main, and I got the sea bass, and both were delicious. We each ordered a glass of Lebanese wine from a producer called Massaya, which paired really well. Compliments to the chef, and thank you to our awesome waiter, Pete! We'll certainly be back next time we're in Long Beach, and in the meantime, we're going to attempt to make red beet hummus and labneh at home. Thanks again for the wonderful meal!

Had a wonderful evening! Chase took great care of me and my family. This was our 3rd visit, as we are new to Long Beach. The food and atmosphere was amazing, looking forward to our next visit!
I was there on Friday. The lentil soup was overpowered by an excessive amount of cumin, which made it quite unpleasant. The beef kebabs were tough when they should have been more tender, and they lacked both flavor and seasoning. The chicken kebab was just okay—I wouldn’t call it good. The eggplant side dish was overly lemony. I’m not a chef, but I’m confident I could cook better.
On a positive note, the baklava was excellent, and the service was wonderful. Our server, a young lady, was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself looks great, but unfortunately, the food was underwhelming. We won’t be returning, as my wife and I both know what good food truly tastes like.

Food was great. I had the sea bass. Rice that came with it was a little salty for my taste, but still delicious. Service in the corner outside was a little slow, but certainly acceptable. We would go back if we lived in the area.

I was so impressed the first time and loved my Palestinian chicken dish. It was 12-2024 . I went back last Sunday and wanted to get the delicious bread and tried their lentils soup which had one small mint leaf 🍃 It was divine, however , when I asked for more meant , I was told they couldn't sell me extra leaves of mint because the system wouldn't allow the waiter to order it. What? Couldn't he just grab a couple of leaves ? I let go. Then I asked for one order of their cheese bread. They brought me 3 and charged me for 3 of course. I also ignored the mistake .
On Tuesday 3-25-2025, I was in the area so decided to go back with a friend. I ordered soup and pita bread and eggplant humus which was delicious. I ordered a second order of bread and wanted to try a different kind of their bread. The waiter told me they have 3 kinds. I had tried two already so he recommended another type of bread with cheese.
He brought us a pizza. 🤪 it was a big plate. How are we supposed to eat that with humus? It's wasn't my first time I eat Middle Eastern food. I know that was a pizza, not bread. I was very disappointed with the way the waiter again didn't get my order right. Too bad. I really like the atmosphere and the food of the restaurant but their customer service is too regid ( not offering or selling an extra leaf of mint) and waiters failed to get order right. I don't think the drive is worth it anymore.
I gave the service one star because the waiter was insisting and highly recommending certain dishes, and when asked the bread, we said we didn't need it, so they ended up adding it. Then he apologized saying it wouldn't count toward the bill. After I paid, I mentioned the bread and then he apologized for counting it as part of the bill. What bothered me is that the receipt he gave me after I insisted on having it, had different tip numbers, which were way less than what he showed me on the machine screen. How I felt as someone used to eating out is that I was deceived by the number, showing me the very minimum of $20+ as the least tip, while it should have been different as shown on the receipt I received later. All in all, the food was tasty but prohibitive. We ate similar food at the other Mediterranean restaurant and it was less than half what I paid here—I paid almost $190 for a dinner for two!!! The quantity at the other restaurant was also significantly higher.
