CLOSED (hopefully maybe just temporarily). Was one of our favorite local places for ice cream. Signage is now gone (2/5/22). Nearby restaurant staff says no activity has been seen for a week. Inside there appears to be all the counters and the freezer with ice cream in it… but the windows are all glazed over and no more descriptions of the ice creams posted in the window. SAD.

Excellent ice cream and the staff. There is very helpful, especially with young children! Check them out while you're there at the mall

So happy to find one still open, we were sad when the one in our neighborhood closed down!

So creamy and tasty - how did I miss this living in NYC for 12 years only to discover it in LA? Dark chocolate and strawberry and cream was my favorite, and they do have a gluten-free cone available - just that if you’re celiac, cross contamination absolutely occur since they’re in the same case as regular cones. So delicious though - we got the 6 mini scoops sampler which was a fun way to taste multiple flavors.Yum, and look forward to coming back!

We walked in apparently after they were closed - there was one customer in front of us and they refused to serve us and instead barraded us with shouts of we are closed please leave. They were well stocked with an abundance of ice cream to sell us ( and staff standing around shouting at us )They chose to be rude instead of making another sale and getting a great tip for good customer service. The correct attitude would be “ hello, well we actually just closed but as you are inside now what can we help you with ?” They were unreasonable & called security to remove us ! Security was very apologetic and embarrassed and called their boss to complain about this incident and how unreasonable they were . My friend was visiting from London - not a good way to promote American businesses and tourism. We left with a very rude and sarcastic employee making faces at us in the window and waving goodbye sarcastically. That was the lasting memory we have of this business !Moral of the story - train your staff to higher standards.

I took my child here and was overcharged for one scoop of ice cream and when I reached out to them, I've been given bullcrap excuses of how the GM will reach out. Just tell me what you charged me for because I ordered two kids small for $4.35 and yet I was charged almost $14? Refund me my difference or update your menus. The ice cream was okay don't get be wrong. OVERPRICED but ok. I'm sure if I was their "cup of tea" I would've been had a response back. I will never go here again 524 Amsterdam Ave NY,NY 10024

Ice cream was tasty - although serving size was pretty small. We tried strawberries and cream and chocolate milk and cookies.

PCH & 2nd is on the way home from Seal Beach if you take the scenic route! My husband wanted a Dark Chocolate “Awake Shake”. Dark Chocolate ice cream mixed with 3 shots of espresso no whip. I had the blood Orange sorbet that was made with tequila and salt. Ample Hills Creamery has lots of unique flavors and they allow sample!

ice cream was amazing! It was so creamy. You have the option to ha e almond milk with the shakes and that is a game changer. The employees were so helpful and nice behind the counter.

We've been here a few times and the staff are very sweet. My 5 year old has been growing up so fast and is trying to be so independent - they're very patient! Although it is embarrassing when you give your child money for his kiddie cone and he tosses it in the tip bowl.. it's the British influence, I'm always apologizing and embarrassed. Oh but the sweet happiness of a nice little sugar cone topped with a scoop of strawberry ice cream. He was talking about it today so it clearly made an impression. Mommy had the Spruce Goose and it was lovely.

Loved the texture of it. Super thick and creamy. I went with my ride or die...the peanut butter & chocolate. The chocolate was rich but the peanut butter was a little too bitter for me. Felt like a darker version of a Reese's. Strong foundation though. I'd definitely go back to try the other flavors.

My wife and I love their ice cream and sorbet options. It tastes so good we can’t eat it fast enough. The service here is great too. The people are so friendly.

After my first visit to NYC, I just knew I had to have my fix of Ample Hills again. Thank goodness there was actually a location in Southern California because I surely would have paid for it to be shipped to my home!I came here on a Monday afternoon and it was completely empty. Fine by me! I could shop to my heart’s content. This location had a lot more flavor choices than the one I went to at Essex Market but I already knew my favorites so I went right to the refrigerator to get my favorite pints. They have a deal where you receive a complimentary lunch bag if you purchase four pints and if you’re scared about your ice cream melting on the ride home, they’re nice enough to bag some ice for you to stuff inside your lunch bag.Now if you’re the faint of heart then this may not be the best place for you as these pints cost over $9 each! But trust me, once you’ve had a taste you’ll know why it’s completely worth it.I stocked up on my favorite ooey gooey butter cake, baked/unbaked, and toffee nut crunch. I liked that there were a lot of other options and if you didn’t already have a pre packaged flavor, they could hand pack it for you as well for a slightly higher price.Long Beach isn’t the closest destination for me but maybe that’s a good thing because I know I’d be clearing out their shelves quite often. Nonetheless, this is truly amazing quality ice cream and while the prices aren’t on the lower end they certainly do make up for it in taste.

So we finally went to check out the Ample Hills Creamery that is located in the 2nd & PCH shopping center. Now we are wondering what took us so long because their product is delicious! They have so many yummy flavors that we must try them all. Love the artwork!!!
