Nice and authentic veg food
Well, today was something different. Was helping a friend build a gate for the side of his house. Around lunch we decided to go grab some food. I had no idea where we were going, but I let the other 2 guys pick the spot. We ended up at Appu's Turmeric Cafe. I immediately regretted not throwing out an option on where to get food. Having seen enough Tik Tok and Instagram videos on some of the ways they prepare street food in India and the blatant lack of cleanliness, I was fully ok with myself if I never had to eat anything from India. Well, being hungry and realizing that this was the only option I did what I had to do. I ordered the Maharajah Bowl and a Lemongrass and Chai tea drink to pair it with. I know that I was being judgemental and not all food from India is horrible or made in a manner that is dirty. So when I took my first bite of the Maharajah Bowl I was blown away. All the flavors that came through in every bite was amazing. The lemongrass, the turmeric, the curry, everything was so flavorful and delicious. I was never expecting to enjoy my lunch so much. The only problem that I came across was that The Maharajah Bowl did not come in a bigger bowl. I literally walked out craving more! Also the bread, is heated and cooked to perfection. I will definitely be coming back to Appu's. Atmosphere got 3 stars because it's pretty quiet and boring inside. A little music from India would be appropriate and add some ambiance.
the boys and the owner here are always very kind and helpful and the food is !! delicious and original. my favs are the soups, maharani burrito, and protein bread.
thank u <3
Ty/Tai and Kamari did an excellent job between the Flatbread Sampler, Mushroom Masla, Mix & Match Tacos, Turmeric Rice, Mango Lassi, and Gulab Jamun, everything was exquisite and some of the best vegan/indian food I've ever had (on god šÆ).
If I lived here I'd be dining here every day, will drive out here regardless soon enough. š
Family friendly, my child loved everything especially the mango lassi and the samosa was the best Iāve had! Appreciate that the food is fresh, made with care and filled with delicious spices. Highly recommend the lemongrass chai and samosa chaat. Thank you chef!
Service is fast
15 bucks for some rice stuffed into a tortilla
The people were nice the food was lame
Love this place, Iāve been here a billion times before but, as I write this, Iām nursing a gnarly hangover. I got the flat bread, vegan masala sauce, healthy mex burrito, lemongrass chai, and their large side of rice to use for my dinner later. I felt like I was actively being healed by each bite. So thankful to have a spot like this so close to me
Ordered the Maharaja burrito, protein bread and mago lassi. The flavor in the burrito was very balanced not overpowering spices, the rice were cooked very fluffy and light. The veggies were not oily. The burrito was wrapped in a ātortillaā which I felt took away from itās Indian roots, I wouldāve enjoyed it wrapped in a āchapatiā. The protein bread was good especially with the sauce on the side 26g of protein with no carbs eating bread, felt good I can eat that with every meal! The mango lassi was a good treat, nice mango taste with the perfect combination of sweetness and a little tartness!
Iām not vegetarian or vegan, it was an healthy option and definitely glad I tried it. I would go back for sure! šš½

I bought lunch here. I wanted to try the protein lentil bread, but ended up trying the bowl as well. The man at the cashier was very approachable, and cares about what he does, even sampled the soup for us. That was super sweet and kind of them! The atmosphere was sweet and cozy.
I ordered take out. Here is where the three star rating comes in. The food was okay. I would give it three stars. But the portions are what got me. I ended up spending about $17 for the meal and was given a small bowl of mainly rice with 2 little pieces of paneer, which wasn't that good either. The bowl just tasted like rice with Tikka masala sauce. I felt that it could've been more veggie packed for fiber instead of having just a rice bowl for $11.95 + tax. To be honest, with the portion, I would've saved money if I went to another small business and ate there. I really have wanted to try this place for almost a year now. It's sad to say that my anticipation was underwhelming. Portions were so tiny for the bowl, with the protein lentil bread being good. I will say that it was takeout, but I don't think that should make a difference at all. I felt so sad to try the food and just feel like curry was splashed onto rice and called it a day. I really wanted to like this place, but the portions should've been a better price, or vice versa. Sorry, but you won't be getting my business anymore. As much as I wanted to love this place, I am met with regret, in some way.

Hey there, I just came in and I was unfortunately in a rush and did not realize that it would take a full 20 minutes for the order however I am glad that he went above and beyond to kind of rush my order at the end there !
the flavor was off the chains, and I will definitely be back props to him for upsell me on the protein flatbread. It really completed the meal and I still feel so light!
I got the more Indian flavored bowl and like I said before the protein flatbread, the bowl had lettuce and avocado on top and yeah, all in all the flavor was great. I could go for some chilies or something like that, but didnāt necessarily need it.
