Used to come here all the time. Hadn't been in a bit and my husband chose to bring me here for my birthday. I got the crimson onion and received half an onion in my food that wasn't battered or cooked. I emailed the company with these pictures and was told my claim was "invalid".. Lets talk Crimson Coward!! This place was amazing!! I got the onion joey style with the extra spicy rub. The spicy factor delivered and shouldn’t be ordered by most! (I eat a lot of spicy so its hitting just right for me, but buyer beware). I’m stoked as a visitor of long beach to find such great food that I WILL be returning to even on my drives through LB.The food was phenomenal and absolutely unable to eat all of it and for $16 in these days with leftovers is a steal for the quality food you’re getting there!The service was rough.. it needs serious reworking, but lets not talk about that because I’d go again for the food, it was that worth it!

Came in at 9:45pm and they stopped serving food already which I do understand they close the grills but the fact that the cook behind the bar was super rude and I wasn't even talking to him I was speaking to the person mopping was odd. Looks like decent reviews but there should be more posted on when they stop serving because closed to me means I can order up until then.Looked like they wanted to be out and leave by then and other people still trying to walk up while I'm typing this so I'm not the only person.Judging based on attitude and timing not good Also this is the Sunday crew Will not be coming back

I've heard so much about the original place in Downey so when I saw this location in LB, I wanted to try it. I ordered the mild chicken sandwich. It was a decent sandwich but I didn't t find it to be a great value. The thickness of the chicken breast varies across the sandwich. In some parts the meat is rather thin. Maybe it's the 10.25% LA county tax but $14.38 was a bit too much for an average chicken sandwich.
Clean looking chain store...suspiciously empty for a weekend afternoon, but it's new and reviews seem good, so I gave it a shot.Really not much to the menu - fried chicken served a few ways, some cheesy sauces and sides as well as stacked fries. My first time though, so I decided on their namesake sandwich with medium heat, but with the slaw on the side to evaluate it independently. Oh, and a side of fries. Food freshness and execution is easily above average, nice crispy fries, juicy chicken, BUT flavor is mostly one dimensional - hot and a little salty. Is this really it? The slaw is absolutely flavorless - the worst I've ever come across - glad I didn't get it on the sandwich, really a disappointment! If you're a chicken sandwich aficionado, then you know that a good slaw is a simple way to add layers of unique flavor; tang, herby, creamy, etc. Swing and a miss. The stranger part is the prices just about feel like it's in the airport. They'd do better on 2nd street next to the bars than here, but alas - Dave's Hot Chicken is already there - and their slaw has flavor to boot (I do not work for Dave's!).As good of a job as they seem to be doing with quality here, with prices like this and a drive up only location...I'm not certain it will work out.

Don't let the strip mall fool you. This place is clean, has good fast service and my chicken sandwich was fantastic.The chicken breast was seasoned with the requested amount of spice and it was juicy. The sandwich included a slaw which thankfully didn't try to over power the sandwich.The fries were good but not great. I'm in!

I was expecting it to be better. I ordered a chicken sandwich. The sandwich was okay, a little too dried on the outside. I also ordered Maccaroni and cheese, which was too watery. The places at the Hanger are a bit better and it is not far at all from this place.

Oddly enough, I didn't come here and try their chicken. I saw this place has fried pickles on the menu and had a craving for themAs soon as I walked in I saw they had a kiosk for ordering. A really nice worker came from the back and helped us instead I went for my childhood favorite (grilled cheese and added pickles) this was the only thing I didn't like. Sometimes when making a grilled cheese with pickles the cheese doesn't melt correctly. This was a 1 star. In the photo you can see the cheese isn't melted and it's falling apart. That was a bummer, especially since I didn't eat it and it was 7 dollars I mostly ordered sides / appetizers. I got a side of potato salad, their fried onion and fried pickles. It comes with their special sauce (which is delicious!!!!) I also ordered a couple sides of ranch. I will say, their sides such as their pickles are a huge portion. Along with their huge onion The place is extremely clean, they do have signs saying it could take a while since it's all made fresh. I didn't notice it taking long at all. The woman working here helping us out was extremely helpful. She noticed us struggling with our to go boxes and ran over to help and put them in a bag for us. She was extremely sweetI would definitely come back and try their chicken next time! (Stay away from their grilled cheese) I will say the prices do add up fast. But that's everywhere now of days thanks to inflation. Can't wait to come back and try a good ol chicken sandwich and their Mac and cheese! The loaded fries look great too!! Another thing to add, this place does have free parking in a private parking lot
