Went to Gaslamp located in Long Beach this past Saturday to see some live bands, we purchased tickets for. I don't think we'll be going back any time soon. They had about 100 people over capacity, making it very uncomfortable to move about and extremely unsafe. A total fire exit hazard waiting to happen.

This place has gone way downhill. We were there Saturday and had a horrific experience. The venue was way overbooked - so crowded you could barely move, and nowhere to stand without being constantly jostled and elbowed. Add to that that it was way understaffed. It was extremely difficult to order before the bands even started, it seemed impossible as the night went on. And as the night went out, the crowd got aggravated and unruly (again, with no one from the staff to get things under control). Some drunk spilled a drink all over my wife's new dress; there was shoving, and more than once it seemed a fight was on the verge of breaking out. It got to the point that we didn't feel safe staying there. We tried to find someone who worked there we could talk to about the situation, but no one seemed to want to know.

We have been to Gaslamp about five times now to see our favorite Rage Against the Machine tribute band, Renegades of Rage. They never disappoint. This time there were two other tribute bands opening for them. Tribute band for Nirvana, Nirvanish was better than I remember from seeing them once before. The lead singer must have been a trance medium. Because all I seen and heard was Kurt Cobain. They also sang a Filter song, Hey Man, Nice Shot, that is in my favorites playlist. The owner of Gaslamp came out on stage to preform in a tribute band for Smashing Pumpkins called The Great Pumpkin! What an extremely pleasant surprise! We've watched them before and I don't remember being this impressed. We sounded so much like Billy Corrigan! Their drummer flew in from I'm not sure where but I'm sure glad that he did. Awesome drummer! Renegades! We love you guys! Johnny, Diego, Jeff and Mike...I'll never get tired of hearing you guys and watching your shows. If I can't get RATM, I'll take Renegades any day, any time, always! We were there with our son and daughter in law celebrating my hubby's 51st bday. The band made him feel special by giving a shout out for his bday! If you haven't seen Renegades before, I can't stress enough that you should find their next show and watch out for the mosh pit! We did not eat here, but Renegades lead singer Johnny did recommend them. Hubby wanted Tamales from Angie's in Norwalk instead. The drinks are comparably priced. Good wait staff. Bathrooms were clean and we'll stocked when we got there. The dance floor was not sticky, just a pet peeve for me.

Tyler was our server she is very friendly attentive and caring and has a big heart makes you feel welcome . We love coming here . Great place . Great environment and great atmosphere. She's awesome!

Great place to hang out and do any kind of music venue or party. Huge stage, great food, burgers and crispy Tahoe tots are amazing drinks are good, live entertainment is of the chain!
Amy Winehouse experience was GREAT! Nice crowd, too. My old fashion was waaaaay too sweet! Yuk and YIKES! The spinach dip was B L A N D! Salt didn’t even revive it. The burger was ok, but the fries were cold as it was outside. Do better kitchen staff. I didn’t expect much pizazz from the kitchen, but that was horrible. Who ever made my drink, go easy with the sweetener. An old fashion is a grown persons drink, and we like them less sweet and strong. Our server, a woman, worked near the stage was excellent.

I was out Thursday country and Friday 80's music and enjoy the night out. You pay cover charge for Thursday $5 and Friday $15 (a way too much) and drinks are price for the cocktails that I had. Music was OK as I managed through the night thanks to the company that I had. Dont plan to go back until they make improvements.
We have been frequenting the Gaslamp Music Bar Kitchen venue for many years and we have had a great time every time! We have been there for the bands, private company party & dinner. I have been impressed by the sound system and they feature different types of bands for all tastes. There is a fun time to be had here guaranteed. Took my buddy here for a cover band concert and it was a bop! Great atmosphere food wasn’t bad. Drinks were good. Boy was this place packed ! Come early! Great show with 90s grunge. Highly recommend!
