I was really looking forward to our Anniversary dinner at Gladstones in Long Beach. I had indicated on the reservation that it was an anniversary, but it wasn't acknowledged. No biggie. My husband and I had been planning our trip to this restaurant for weeks as part of our day at the Queen Mary, as we both love seafood. Let me say that the food was WONDERFUL!! The problem was: there was a wedding WITH ITS OWN, LOUD BAND playing for 90% of the time we were seated. Luckily, Scott, the restaurant operator, was considerate and concerned with our dining experience. He VERY generously comped our bill to make up for our negative experience. We went back 2 nights in a row because we liked it so much! The taco and Hawaiian ahi tuna portions were quite large and delicious! Our waitresses were very pleasant and offered samples of beers for us to try. And the warm sourdough bread they serve was a definite winner!
