Islands Restaurant Long Beach Pike

Despite the current state of the world, it was a pleasant experience inside the restaurant that you forget about it, even for just an hour. There was no wait both times we went in the afternoon, it wasn't overcrowded and the servers were nice despite being busy. Yes the fries are fresh.:) Had some of the hamburgers and it was enough food for an average person to get full. It's clean, decent vibe and the foliage outside is very inviting. The onlyajor negative is parking but that's the Long Beach curse for you. Yard House take notes.

Me and a friend went on a Saturday night before seeing Kinky Boots at the Terrace Theater. They've added a happy hour on Saturdays now. I had a 22 oz IPA and my friend had a margarita. We split an order of french fries and the spinach artichoke dip, and the total bill was $30

We came here for dinner one evening and I was able to get a nice chopped salad. Very fresh and tasty! She had the Sliders and it was more than enough for her. Our server, Rehoaddin, did a good job as the place started to fill up. We recommend!

Horrible service. My husband had to wait almost an hour for his order. And our waitress just forgot about our table.

Thought I would call ahead to pick up since I was at the LB Arena. Three separate times I called and got hung up on! The third time I told the girl don't hang up on me again!!! She told me that she would go make sure someone would take my order! Surprise same thing happens they hang up on me should have know better but okay I was almost there. Go in the girl at the take out ordering was pretty dingy!!! I order hamburger and fries $19.22. Simple right for a normal person so I give a $20 and a quarter. Easy $1.03 should be the change but again DINGY!!!! She first give me the receipt and a pen. I ask what's that for I paid cash!! Oh uh and she takes the receipt and pen back and tries to give me change all coins back I tell you should be giving me a dollar and three cents back right!!! Oh uh! As she fumbles with her dinginess I notice the cook taking apart a already made burger two to be exact picking something off the burger patty and throw it back on the grill then he does the same with the other burger patty! At that point I ask for a refund and tell the manager what I just witnessed. Not knowing who the recooked burger patties were for hopefully not me. But i see him put it back on a bun I think the same bun it came from and put it on a plate and put it went to some unlucky soul. Luckily not me. Got my change and ran out the door!!!

Monday about 2:30pm, not busy. Server no hi, not friendly, ask to sit outside. Yuri very good server. Salad we had to pick out the black and brown pieces and it was wilted, nachos stale. Burger and fries good. Patio door grimy. Return NO!

Burgers needed seasoning. We had the Moa crisp and the Kilauea burger. The Moa is a fried chicken burger was good, just needed a little something extra, but it was nothing spectacular and definitely better than the burger. The Kilauea burger stated it was a pepper and jalapeño crusted burger. Yeah, it was DEFINITELY crusted with pepper but the jalapeños were no where to be found and it was lacking salt.
Fries, onion rings, and the tempura fried greenbeans were very good. I would go back just for these. And the service was GREAT!! All of the wait staff were very friendly and super quick with bringing us what we needed. That alone will bring us back to the restaurant.

We came to have lunch with the family after the Long Beach Marathon, we were hungry and decided to come an eat at Islands great decision 👍 we received great friendly customer service and our good was served on time.
