Picked up an order for Uber Eats and the owner of the restaurant was extremely rude! I went to the designated area for pick up and was looking for the order. As I grabbed the order once I saw the name the owner came around the corner and snatched the order out of my hand! He yelled and said I needed to wait, but prior to me all the other drivers from Uber Eats were able to grab their orders and walk out. The energy from the owner was strong for no reason. Treat all customers with kindness especially when you have a business. I'll be sure to let my friends and family know to never step foot at this restaurant.

Hidden gem. Our regular spot for great quality nigiri/sashimi. Rice is prepared well, good fish portions, smoked octopus is tender, and black cod is a must. The service whether at a table or sushi bar is top notch, and the ambiance is good for both families or a pleasant date night for two.

One of the best sushi places I have ever had. You have to try their gelato and ask for the chefs choice it is always amazing. The service is great and Peter always gives a good time!

Toro tasting was very good. Everything else was kind of a miss. Albacore with crunchy onion was basically a big thing of fried onion, fish cuts were just ok. White Russian was absolutely disgusting; nothing but bad texture and overpowering sauce. Dungenous crab roll also had bad, mushy, texture, and overpowering mayo taste. Ok meal, but not the place for me.

Go-to spot locally for sushi and standard Japanese fare. Food is very good. Have ordered takeout here a couple of million times, and they always get the order right. Dine-in service tends to be a bit random, but they're always nice and accommodating.

A sushi restaurant with a pleasant, appropriate atmosphere and really excellent sushi. The price level is a bit high but appropriate for the quality.

The food here is on another level. I found you can't order from the sushi chefs at the bar. So there's that. But the utterly unique and delicious food mire than makes up for that & the sports bar noise.

The food was amazing, my favorite roll was the tempura shrimp on top of the spicy tuna, the tempura shrimp was done to perfection and not too saucy. Highly recommend. I asked for a mixed array of sashimi and it was super fresh and decent sized pieces. The ambiance was suited more for a date night, dim lit and zen like. The service was the only complaint, probably because the waiters were swooning, I mean waiting, on the four top of ladies who were out for a fun night! I would definitely recommend Kihon for their excellent presentation and delicious sushi/sashimi.

I haven't put a review in a long time ! But this place deserves one. I moved to Long Beach 6 months ago and so far is my favorite sushi spot in LB . Everything so fresh, I love that their menu is a little more open and up scale to a regular sushi place , Monk fish liver , AJI, Negi- Toro . Amazing oysters as well, and the service ufff I can't stop taking about the service not just because that's what I do but when you can see that the chef can make a connection with all his customers , that's when I decided to even stay longer try a lot of things ! Thank you PETER it was one of the best sushi dinners ever and I'll be back with my crew !

Cool place, nice and clean, sushi tasted super fresh. I ordered a dragon roll and yellow tail sashimi. No complaints I will be a repeat customer. My friend ordered the ramen which she raved about so I might try that next time. The service was friendly and fast. No complains here. I would totally recommend giving it a try. There's plenty of parking and all for a decent price.

We got there at 5pm opening time, got a table right away. Service and food were both outstanding! The young man at the front made our evening, and by the looks of everyone did the same for them. We'll be back!

Service 5/5 Very organized and friendly. Servers communicative and quick to buss empty dishes. Food 3/5 Everything lacked flavor including edamame and calamari, or was small in proportion. Nothing really tasted authentic. Some of the sushi tasted good some very odd but all small, besides the Eel Sashimi which was delicious. Had to order a tonkotsu ramen to fill my appetite, which was also lacking but I understand not their specialty. Outside seating for up to three people, line at open, limited hours.

I cannot say enough about this restaurant and their amazing staff. If you want truly exceptional sushi that is both innovative and refreshing this is the spot. It is pricey but worth the price. The other thing I really like about this restaurant is that it's really highly quality food but also casual. It doesn't feel overly pretentious or stuffy and feels welcoming in the best way. Lovely for both a quick dinner with family or friends but also great for a slow intimate meal.
