DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM THIS PLACE!
SHAME ON L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele - I was sick last week and paid $49 for a medium Margherita Pizza delivered COLD! No Parmasan, No Peppers, No Napkins, No Plates. COLD pizza and I live a literal 3 min drive from them (with parking in front of my building)!!!!!!!! Be decent and NORMAL, and hire an in-house delivery person so that your product arrives (and tastes) as you intend it to. Using 3rd Party Delivery means you don't care about your delivery customers...something I will remember the next time I want to order or dine-in pizza/Italian food ... never again from this place). I see owner replies to all reviews, and always with his cut-and-paste excuse "looks like we dropped the ball" - but you can only use that excuse so many times before you are not actually dropping the ball, but that this is how you operate on the regular.

Pizza is great at first, but rapidly declines in quality as it cools down-which I felt happened a bit too fast. The pizzas are basically personal sized, and it’s a pizza place, so of course when I went with three people, we all three of us ordered different pizzas, and weirdly enough one of the most egregious issues is they seem to still have not figured out how to handle the space at the table.
The tables themselves are obviously too small. As they served us our pizzas, the servers, seemingly already aware of this space issue, took away our personal plates without asking or saying anything, and then oddly, especially for a high-end restaurant, seemed to expect us to eat directly off the large pizza trays without a plate to put the slices on or any sort of side table for the large pizza trays to be put on. This might seem nitpicky, but for a restaurant where a single person’s meal might cost $45 or more you’d expect these kinds of details to be completely ironed out. It was a very awkward eating experience because of this. The last thing I felt was that for the glasses of wine being like $15 each, it was poured quite stingily.
Don’t get me wrong. The food and wine were good while they were fresh, but for the price and the dining experience, I find it hard to justify it beyond the one-time experience unless they fix these issues.
Situated on a busy popular street , parking can be a bit of challenge. Restaurant has a nice ambience and service was good too.
We got the Margarita pizza (good flavor but they ignored our request of making it well done and this one came out very soggy) , chicken entree (v good) , spicy margarita (Smokey and v well made) and bread pudding (very good !)
Overall , we had a good meal and had it not been for a soggy wet pizza base , I would have definitely given this 5 stars .

I have been going to your Belmont Shore restaurant since it opened in January. The food and service has always been excellent both for take out and dining in.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the case this past Saturday. I placed a phone order on Saturday, October 19th at 5:20pm for meatballs, salmon dinner, side of bread and the beet salad. When I placed the order I let the person know that I was allergic to balsamic and would like the citrus dressing instead. When he read the order back I reminded him that there couldn't be any balsamic on it since I'm allergic to it.
When I got the order home there was balsamic on the salad. I called and spoke with the same person I placed the order with, I believe his name was Carlos and said that I had requested no balsamic when I placed the order and there was balsamic on the salad. He very nicely said he would credit the salad back to my account. I then said that since I was allergic to balsamic and it could have been a problem if I had eaten it. He replied you should make sure you say that when you place the order next time. I said that I had told him I was allergic and he replied that I hadn't said that to him. When I reiterated that I had said it he continued to argue with me insisting I hadn't. My friend who was in the room when I placed the order got on the phone and explained to him that I had said it. He became more agitated and hung up the phone.
We have always enjoyed the food and the service has always been perfect, but after this experience I don't know that I'll be returning. As you know food allergies are serious and at least I saw the balsamic before I ate the salad.
Also, the cost of the salad was never credited back to my card as the person said they would.

As close as you can get to authentic Italian pizza.

The cocktails had too much ice and not enough quantity for their price, small plates, the pizza was large but tasteless and had few ingredients. I do not recommend this Italian restaurant for quantity, quality and price. There are absolutely better places. Never again, thank you.

I am italian and I might be picky when it comes to food. That being said, I found the pizza extremely dry, way too thin, the dough was not properly risen (it means that it will rise in your stomach) and the ingredients were hard to find on the pizza. It tasted like cardboard, I could not track any taste in it, one of the reasons being the scarcity of ingredients. It makes no sense to me to serve such a huge pizza which is just tasteless dough. You could make it smaller but tastier. To make a long story short, one of the worst pizzas I have ever had. The bread pudding was as dry as the pizza, just a block of sweet bread. The cocktails are prepared using the "Fast Food strategy" of "tons of ice and a few drops of the actual drink". Coffee was burnt and acidic. Needless to say that I will not come back. The check for 3 people was $ 420. Don't waste your money.

We had a Diavola pizza, it was good but not as authentic, maybe it was the dough.

HUGE thank you to Jessee and the amazing staff, front of house and in the kitchen, for making sure a big birthday yesterday was very memorable for two of my friends and me (twins...thus TWO birthdays).
We loved the cocktails, especially the Negroni, as well as the zucchini flowers, Caprese salad, Margherita and pesto pizzas, and lovely desserts (I'm a huge fan of the olive oil cake especially, which I believe to be an underrated dessert!).
Still, while there are lots of places for great pizzas in SoCal, not all of them offer such a level of thoughtful service. I was really touched that Jessee wanted to make sure we had a wonderful time. Everyone we dealt with at Da Michele was friendly and nice, but go request Jessee! Also his favorite pizza (the pesto one) turned out to be ours, so you can also trust him for good recommendations. (Note: I haven't been to the Naples location, so I can't comment on how "authentic" it is compared to the original, but for HERE in L.A. I absolutely recommend it for Neapolitan pizza.)

Came here soon after returning from Italy to see how it compares to meals from the "motherland". It didn't disappoint. The ingredients were top notch, flavors were on point. The pasta was not overcooked (as it usually is at most Italian restaurants in the area). A little bit of sticker shock as dining out in US vs EU comes with more extra costs. Different social/economy issue all together, but the meal was excellent ?

It's not exactly "Italian" food, but it was delicious nonetheless ?

You have good food, but you really need to take a look at your cocktail menu. My friend and I have been here a number of times (sometimes using open table, sometimes as walk-ins) and we've tried a number of cocktails. Many have been flat / one-note instead of multi-layered. We'd honestly consider coming more often if there were better cocktails. Note: your cocktail called, Heat of Passion' is an example of a really good one: complex, multi-layered, good spice level, lots of excellent flavor, and not overly sweet. We know you can do better and encourage you to think about updating the cocktail menu!
