I accidentally posted this on the LA location's page. Francesco kindly responded to my review, which was nice but I'm not hurrying back anytime soon. ------ We ordered for pickup. The staff had no interest in helping when we got there. They insisted everything was in the bag but we had ordered an entire pizza. Went to the car and had to go back for it. Oddly enough, the Fritto Misto was the best dish. Maccheroni Bolognese was fine. Cacio e Pepe was forgettable. Arancini was so bland. The Caserto pizza was cold and soggy. We don't live far. We spent over $200 including tip. It's highly unlikely that we'll be going back. Especially not when there are better pasta joints and pizza shops around. What a disappointment - we were really looking forward to this new (and rather well-known) addition to Long Beach.

service was awesome! food was subpar drinks were good the place itself is pretty cute the prices are insane for what you're getting tho the meatball appetizer is $20 for 4 meatballs.. literally insane the pasta and sauce were extremely mediocre cute place for drinks not so much for food

I really wanted to love this place, but it was average. The atmosphere was hip and the space had a cool vibe. We arrived a bit before 4p and had a very odd checkin process. There were 5 people behind the counter and not one looked up or acknowledged us as we arrived. When they did and we said we didn't have a reservation, they then went silent with us and talked among themselves. After several minutes, and noticing many open tables that clearly confused them, we decided to sit at the bar to end the awkwardness. The bartenders were friendly, helpful and attentive - they were the highlight of our experience! We ordered a beer salad and pizza. The salad came quickly and was a generous portion, included lots of beets, but heavy on the dressing. The pizza also arrived quickly though seemed undercooked. It lacked flavor so we used lots of chili peppers to give it taste. The wine selection was good, and the we'd recommend the Nebbiolo! Overall, it was disappointing for a $100 light meal.

Decided to spend our five year wedding anniversary here. The restaurant was beautiful although it is so noisy and echoey you could barely hear what your table was talking about. For appetizers we had squash blossoms and gnocco frito. Both appetizers were phenomenal. For our entrée we had the spaghetti and pizza, which sadly were not. The pizza crust was really good, but the rest of pizza seemed really doughy and extremely oily. The pasta was really earthy, not a favorite. For dessert we had crème brûlée that was tasty. If we come back, we would just go for wine, coffee, or just dessert. The service was OK. Our server was nice and polite, but would check on us maybe every 20 minutes. It was a pain to try to get out of there as we were waiting for a long time just to get the check.

We had such an amazing meal thanks to each of Julian's recommendations. Julian was the icing on the cake. Long Beach is lucky to have him! .

Great food and dining experience. This ain't your old Papalucci's. We started with the Margarita pizza (perfection), Caesar salad, main course and finished with the crème brûlée (delicious). My wife and I will definitely be back. We splurged tonight since it was our first experience there but looking forward to trying other items.

OMG! Where do I start! It was a last-minute reservation. They only had two spots left for the whole day, great for date night or for family night. But we were lucky enough to get a spot. We started off our wonderful evening with the calamari, which was great, because it shrimp and a few other surprises in there for us. The red marinara sauce was just splendid. we tried their traditional margarita pizza and the waiter was kind enough to teach us how to really eat it like real Italians! lol We finished off with the Farfalle short rib pasta which is 10 for 10! We were too stuffed to try out the desserts, but I have my eye on the cannolis for the next time we come back!

Was looking forward to trying this place out but unfortunately was disappointed. Great food but the service was HORRIBLE. Just left lunch service. We were attended to by a very nice guy named Jesse. I don't think he was a waiter though. He was nice enough to take our order but after that NO ONE came to check on us. Not even to see if we wanted more water or another drink or to give us an update on the 30 minute wait for the pizza. It wasn't even busy!! Had like 4 random people come by to drop off food but no one seemed to be our designated waiter. Truly so upsetting. There were tons of people working but no one seemed to be concerned with us at all. Lots of shining of the silverware to be seen. Not even a thank you or anything on our way out. Are you guys doing ok? Will not be back. Recommend sitting at the bar, maybe you'll get better service.

Beautiful space and delicious food! Extra thanks to Jessee, who was so kind, offered great recommendations, and took excellent care of our family when we visited for lunch.

I wasn't able to make a reservation for a Sunday at noon, but the awesome hostess was able to take a group of 4 + baby. We ordered the Gnocco Frito, Fritto Misto, and Eggplant Involtini to get started. All of these appetizers were extraordinary. Next, we ordered citrus salad and beets salad. Both delicious! And of course, we had to order pizza. We got the Marguerita and Diavola. Crust is thin and cooked to perfection, pizzas were my favorite. Wasn't able to try wines or any drinks, but it was truly an amazing and flavorful experience. Delicioso! Service was prompt and very good. Can't wait to go back.

Pizza dough appetizer had a sliver of burrata, tables are close and uncomfortable, pizza was fresh out the oven but still not very warm… wine and water glasses had spots all over them.Short rib pasta was great

I was a bit disappointed with our pesto pizza. The crust was super floppy. Flavors were tasty, I just had to eat it with a knife and fork. This was our third try at getting a table. Previous visits were a two hour wait time, so I had high expectations. Zucchini flower appetizer was light in texture. I would try a pasta or salad next time.Miles was not a good server.

Pesto pie was absolutely phenomenal. Caesar salad kinda underwhelming. Super happy to have this place on 2nd street.
