I completed an intake at MHala Village at 7am, expressing my urgent need for mental health support. Unfortunately, I never received a callback despite my situation of being homeless and in dire need of assistance. I also reached out to LBmh, but my attempts to contact them went unanswered as well. I was really relying on these services to help me during this difficult time. It would be incredibly beneficial if MHala Village could improve their communication and responsiveness to better assist individuals like me who are seeking help in critical situations

I DEMAND A CALL BACK PROMPTLY THE RECEPTIONIST CANT LOOK MY NAME UP AND TELLME WHO MY ADVACOATE IS!???? THATS NO HELP THATS VERY RUDE N POINTLESS TO BE ANSWERING THE PHONE THAN UR SOSPOSED TO HELP ME WITH MY HOUSING ISSUED TO THE CITY OF LB.2WEEKS AGO STILL WAITING

They helped me when I needed it. If you feel they didn't help you it is because you didn't want to be helped. I followed their instructions and jumped through a few hoops for them and they rewarded me with housing and more than I could ask for. I am so grateful that place was there for me when no one else was. Thank you.

Do you know why I hate the place??? It's been closed for 4 years

I'm currently homeless and have a case manager named Toni that is awesome. Finally a place that really cares about what homeless people go through on a daily basis.

Most people there are beyond help...

Helping the homeless is not a mon-fri by the hour task. Its 7days a week until the problem can be solved! Some of you have been pleasant. Its time to fix the homeless issue. These people and their situation pays your bills. Complete what you we're hired to do.

My daughter is their patient and they have taken her disability check and not made sure she had a shower in months. I can't take her in because I am raising her children and she disturbs the peace but it is shameful to take someone's mental health check and not assist them in any way. I have called the Village and left messages for weeks and I will list all the names of Team West as failures. I know all of you because all of you have had several messages left by me and are not available through the front door. No wonder people don't want to help the sick. People who pose as caregivers do nothing but hope they get a pay check. I have watched you for years and you have left the LB Police to deal with your lack of due diligence. Hopefully you will be exposed for your corruption.

Often falls short on proper care lost charter with government losing millions of dollars in funding. The did not follow there own goalsnof being 80% member run! Often the staff present behavioral problems and lack of compassion or respect. Work job training program ok but dont count on getting permenant outside jobs. Workers often miss use their positions . There is often a lack of compassion. They often make fun of clients behind their backs. The push their own agenda which is unexceptable. Work place abuse occurs in their work programs not a good thing. Service once was good to has continually gone down hill.

The 4 story brown building on the corner of 5th and Elm in Long Beach was built in 1922 and was originally the AT&T Overseas Operator Building. After the Long Beach Earthquake in 1933 the building was rebuilt and continued to be used as a telephone operator’s building. The building stood vacant for a while and was purchased in the 1980s for conversion to an office building; the developer improved the building seismically but did not complete the project.MHA bought the vacant property on January 2, 1990 to use as the site for the Village.MHA Village is an adult integrated services recovery program of Mental Health America of Los Angeles. By focusing on the whole person, they assist their members as they journey toward recovery from mental illness. As a pioneer of the recovery movement they have been proudly serving the community of Long Beach since 1990.
