Such a great restaurant! I had been there once before, and the Nick's on Del Mar in San Clemente many times. Both restaurants do not disappoint! Benjamin our waiter was a kick and was on top of everything -- food was great, experience was out of this world!

Had lunch with a friend on Wednesday, Nov. 19. I am so glad that consistent service and delicious food is a standard for all Nick's. I have been to Pasadena, Carlsbad, San Clemente, Laguna Beach, and now Long Beach. And every time I have always been very satisfied with the level of service and delicious food. I meant to remember the name of our server, Erin? We sat in the booth in the back nearest the kitchen. She was a gem! I arrived before my friend so Erin (?) saw that I had listed birthday celebration so she asked for her name. At the end of the meal, we had a yummy chocolate cake to share and my friend was given a handwritten happy birthday card. Special touch for sure. We both had the beef dip sandwich with fries. The meat was so tender and the bread was a soft roll, not those hard French bread kind. And the au jus, oh, my goodness so tasty. As we all know, parking is a bear in Long Beach, not the fault of the restaurant but that would be my warning to customers, arrive early to find a spot. Noise-no sound absorbing wall/ceiling material, very loud.

I live locally and I Love 💕 and enjoy Nicks on 2nd... I am there once or twice a week. The food is always on point and their staff is amazing. They are definitely my go to for a bite to eat or enjoy a cocktail 🍸 Ambience is perfection afternoon or evening this is my spot I have to say I am very picky when comes to dining out .... I totally recommend

The tuna tartare appetizer was so good — it practically melts in your mouth! I just wish there were a few more wonton chips to go with it (I should've asked for extra). Our entrées were absolutely perfect. I had the Buttermilk fried chicken, and it was amazing — the sausage country gravy, roasted sweet corn, buttermilk biscuit, and whipped potatoes all complemented each other beautifully. My husband ordered the Pan Seared Scottish Salmon, which was excellent as well. It came with sauteed spinach and whipped potatoes, both cooked perfectly. It was a bit loud and crowded, but overall, we had an amazing experience. Our server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Great food and great service! It was definitely worth a visit!

Excellent as always and Ben, our server made it an especially nice evening celebrating our 15 year old grandson's birthday! Grandson had the Cioppino which he loved. And wonderful desserts. Nicks never disappoints!!

Nick's on second is a solid restaurant. It has a great balance of good food, great ambience, and good service. I definitely will eat there again.
We always come back for the sea bass which was excellent, as always. My husband had the halibut which was so moist and delicious. Side dishes were good and we were happy with our wine choices. Very personable and capable server. We ate on the patio which was quiet and really lovely.

We shared the bacon deviled eggs (to die for) and the ribeye melt. This sandwich was decadent! We also had the ginger berry mule with Tito's added... great drink choice. Service was impeccable and atmosphere for a Sunday afternoon was just right.
