Great restaurant. Love their concept of smaller dishes. All delicious. Gets busy, but worth it. High quality Chinese food.

We eat in Belmont Shore 2-3 times a week so we were so excited when we saw that NC was opening in LBC last year. We have been going since they opened but the one thing that so often deters us from going is the horrific service. It isn't a one off, the service is consistently BAD! The reason we keep going back is the food is great, but this weekend was the breaking point. The thing that gets me, is unfortunately they are always dead inside (i.e. no one is dining) and it still takes forever to even get water or a drink you have ordered, I can't imagine if it was busy! I predict they will be closed within the next 12 months if they don't get new staff and turn it around. This would be a great loss as LB needs a good dumpling place.

For a Chinese northern dumpling restaurant in Long Beach, it’s quite delicious. We had beer with various dishes & enjoyed a good afternoon watching people go by was a fabulous Americans still need to be familiar with Asian dining, not PFChang. They must be shorthanded since they only have one waitress & assistance. Kitchen staff must be overwhelmed as guests are coming in. This must be a fluke.

The food is fantastic but it’s a noisy restaurant because of the hard floors, brick walls and no sound baffles for noise reduction. I could live with that but they insist on playing loud music over the already loud restaurant noise. It doesn’t add anything to the atmosphere and in fact it’s annoying as hell. I’ve asked them to turn down the music but they won’t do it. I’m sorry I won’t be going here again because the food is so good.

The Crab & Pork Soup Dumplings were a standout—juicy on the inside, delicate on the outside, just full of flavor. The Steamed Vegan Dumplings were also a hit, packed with fresh veggies and wrapped up nicely. The Chongquing Crispy Chicken? Crispy, spicy, and downright addictive. If you're into something a bit milder, the Eggplant with Garlic Sauce was silky and savory, a real comfort dish.
The Szechuan Boiled Beef was another powerhouse, spicy and tender, while the House Special Fried Rice was the perfect side, loaded with bits of egg, veggies, and BBQ pork. Speaking of pork, the BBQ Pork Bun was fluffy and sweet, stuffed with perfectly roasted pork.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Juan, my server, was exceptionally charming and friendly. He recommended an outstanding dish that I thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Long Beach—it's now my favorite spot on 2nd Street. Thank you, Juan, for your excellent service.

We had so much fun at this restaurant! Chris, our server, was so helpful and friendly. He recommended several dishes we would like as a family of 4 with two teenagers. It is family style and we shared all of the dishes. Everything was delicious. We would absolutely go again when in Long Beach.

We eat here once a week! It’s surprising they aren’t packed to the max! Tell your friends, the pork soup dumplings are to die for!

I’d recommend visiting the other locations if you want spice and authenticity :-) the menu is definitely catered more towards the crowd that think salt and pepper is ~spicy~
