Best sandwiches in the area. We used to live closer so we would go often but now we live a 15 minute drive away but my wife still has us go out when she’s craving a sandwich. Great ingredients and lots of options.

I met a guy on a cruise ship in the Bahamas that spoke highly of Olives Gourmet Grocer. Having lived in Long Beach for over a decade, I was surprised I have never visited the place. This is a super cute deli market with fresh sandwiches, some bakery items, and other deli stuff. The sandwich was freshly made and they got daily specials.

Even after moving from Long Beach, I make the drive from HB strictly to come back here and get a sandwich. The Spicy Steve sandwich has such a special place in my heart and my stomach. Staff here is always so nice and helpful, and gives me that small town market feel while tucked away in a big city. Even when not getting a sandwich their artisanal options for groceries and other needs are so great! Miss living nearby, but that doesn't stop me from visiting, and it that should...
