The quality of the food has continued to go down hill at not only this one but all of the roscoe's restaurants. The waffles now taste stale, they've changed the meat in the Jenny Jones omelette from crunchy breast meat to soggy though meat. And I love thighs just not the way they prepare them in the omelette. This place is now mediocre at best so dine at your own risk
Food was mediocre. Staff cussed and was not welcoming.
Can't go wrong with Roscoe's when you in Long Beach. The #1 is my go to: 1/4 chicken, 2 waffles = HEAVEN!!
Every time we dine there the food is always the same superb. Best chicken and waffles in town.
First Im from the South, so I know good southern cooking, and this is not it. second, as a black person, I found it very uncomfortable and disrespectful that the owner is Mexican but profits off of black culture, especially in LA, where it's gentrified.
Mother's Day brunch
Chicken was a disappointment. Fried too hard and the oil tasted stale. Coleslaw was sus. Didn’t stay for the live music.

We are not locals. The neighborhood seemed pretty scetch, but I am really glad we are not discouraged! The place was clean, service good and the food was great. Chicken sandwich was awesome, as were waffles. One star off for atmosphere, as a couple were listening to music , on phone the entire team we were there, and it was pretty annoying. If you like this style of food (comfort? Southern?) you shouldn't miss this place!

I was flabbergasted that there was a huge inflatable Trump out front on Nov 5th. I don’t support any restaurant who condones hate and violence. Our job it to vote with our pens and wallets. Just remember that!
Had the usual. Which was the 1/2 fried chicken accompanied with 2 waffles. The chicken was fried nicely & seasoned. The waffles are still lite and fluffy. Topped with the whipped butter. They now have a selection of their own branded hot sauce. Not as busy as it used to be. The place only gad a couple of tables taken. Could be a reflection of the big increase in prices. There are public restrooms available. Paintings hung on the wall are for sale with prices marked on them. There are monitor screens showing the entertainment next door. At this location, they offer a full bar & live entertainment. Call Roscoe's lounge. Which is to the right in the lobby area. Dining is to the left. The parking lot is across the street and on the small side. Did not see any handicap posted spots in the lot across the street. There are a few spaces at the curb in front. No handicap access at the curb, and they seem to be always taken. Main entry has 2 steps, no ramp. There are 2 security guards keeping an eye on the parking lot and front door.

Service good, place was clean, and food came warm. Waffle was good, sort of a lot of butter. My husband liked his grits, the chili, and his omelette. The coffee and french fries were ok. I was excited to get some fried chicken livers, but the breading was sort of bland, but at least the livers were soft. Even though it was a good helping, it was one of most expensive dishes on menu. We really didn't feel price of food matched what is being offered (it's the hormel chili, the sugar syrup, etc) but I guess it's the price of maintaining authenticity and being touristy. We would preferred Waffle House.

Food was…good but the service is absolutely terrible. I am currently sitting here at table 21, I was seated at 1130am, it is 1150am and I haven’t had so much as a glass of water, let alone been greeted by my server. When I flagged down a server who was working a table close to mine, she said she would take my order as a “favor” because my “actual server was quite busy”. I watched 3 other tables in my area get greeted and served by the same server who is NOT my server (tables 30, 31, and 20) but for some reason, no one is assigned to table 21. I never saw my actual real server. This is very disappointing as we flew in from Arizona and always make Roscoe’s a stop on our trips. It is extremely disappointing that in the black community we can’t have both good food AND good service. I have been to this Roscoe’s every time I visit LB since 2011 but I think this is my last time at this location. Extremely disheartened that this is now the experience that will stick in my head when I think of having chicken and waffles here.
