Downstairs below a restaurant lies this bar. It’s like if rainforest cafe was strictly for adults. Great atmosphere, great service, great drinks. One of the bartenders offered to make a specialty drink of his own that wasn’t on the menu as well, loved it!

only critique (which is entirely personal preference) but I wish the music was a little more on theme for a tiki bar. was there for a punk show and the playlist for before and after was a way different vibe lol

I booked 3 weeks in advance and also made sure to contact the restaurant a week before to make sure my table would be ready. Got to the restaurant and approached the hostess with my reservation, was advised no table was reserved because they had an event going on that night and there was NOTHING they could do for me. Took a date to the tiki restaurant because that was their vibe. Ended up leaving embarrassed and upset. Hostess advised me there were managers or supervisors that night to help. This has never happened to me with Open Table reservations! But I will not return to the Secret Tiki. Be careful with reservations to this place.

Great spot for that tiki tropical vibe. Enjoy the tropical drinks!

Food to share items on the menu were more or less a snack. We were warned the drinks were strong, “double pours.” They weren't lying. Music, vibe and decor were awesome. The kings Hawaiian roll bbq sliders were tasty and the environment was pretty dope.

I've been here three times and counting. By far one of my favorite tiki bars, and I've been to a good amount throughout the US. First off, I love the themed entrance! One of my favorites. I wish all tiki bars had one. Easier said than done, of course, but it's always a fun treat that sets the mood. We've tried a number of their drinks, and we haven't been disappointed by any of them. My personal favorites are their Navy Grog and Pele's Fire, but I feel confident in saying that you couldn't go wrong with any of their drinks. They have other options if you're not in the mood for a tiki drink.

Speaking of drinks, each time I've been here the bartenders have been very friendly and welcoming. Hats off to all of you!

Food is good, too! I took the bartender's recommended to get the burger. It was delicious.

Two of the three times I've been, they've had a band playing. The first was a surf rock band - the second was a blues band. I'm not really into loud music at bars, but even I had to admit they were good, and it was still really enjoyable. I recommend you bring ear plugs just in case!

Tiki theming is pretty good, imo. Not the best I've seen, but it's a smaller and cozy bar with plenty of the tiki basics: puffer fish lights, thatched roofs, great lighting, bamboo, etc! Just very enjoyable to have a drink in such a nice atmosphere.

If you're in the Long Beach area and a fellow tikiphilr, definitely stop by and give Secret Island a visit!

Very beautiful, intimate setting. It was a quiet night, but I can see the potential for when it's busy the ambience must be nice. Food and drinks were good as well

I had of others who had problems with their reservation as in they had one, showed up only to be told there were no tables available. This exact thing happened to us on Saturday night 11/23/24. We were there to dine and hear band. Told no tables. Told nothing coujd be done. Told people just weren't leaving. Not blaming our server but the manager and poor management. Do your job!!

This review is for the tiki bar downstairs. As you walk in you're greeted by an awesomely decorated and themed tiki bar. The drinks are sweet and will creep up on you and hit you hard. They have a full bar if tiki drinks aren't your thing. If tiki drinks are your thing, they have a lot of good ones and even fish bowls to share with your group. Good food to soak up all the booze. They have karaoke on Thursday nights. Always a fun time here!

Amazing basement tiki bar, I’ve been to a bunch and this ranks near the top. Generous happy hour as well, I’ll definitely be back when I’m in town again.
