Overall a fun night. Some actors intermixed with audience. Tables seating 10 people. Had good conversations with our table mates.
We didn’t figure out who done it. One issue to note is that the interviews with the suspects are a bit rapid fire so pay attention and write good notes. Also some guests paid extra to be treated as suspects which adds to the list of suspects.
It was an entertaining night.
The bar is cash only and mixed drinks are $14. So be prepared if possible. There is an ATM in the hotel if needed.

We enjoyed our evening at Dinner Detectives. Our table had great interaction with each other. The actors were fun and engaging. The food was very good as well. Overall, a great evening.

I went was a few friends. I wasn't crazy about the room we were in. I thought it would be a restaurant not just a large room. We didn't get our entree until almost 2 hours after we sat down. It was cold when we finally got it, and we were really hungry by that time! It started at 6 with a salad, food came at 7:50. A couple of us sent the food back to be reheated. The theme and performance wasn't all that great and not what I was expecting.

I think it's a cash grab. I felt like I walked into a Professional Development meeting where we had to do ice breakers. I went for Valentine's Day and can't tell the difference from any other day. No theme, no nothing. Depressing environment, all greyed out. The food was edible. The drinks are fair. Too much yelling between the actors that I couldn't understand what in the world was going on. I also don't understand why we had to be dressed nice, when the effort in putting this together doesn't merit being well dressed. The one and only thing I enjoyed from this was meeting good people at my table, but we all felt this was a scam. Save your money people, I'm no expert but there has to be better thought out intentional murder mystery events.

This is not worth the money or time. We thought we were getting more of a show but it was a lot of audience participation. The food was served late and it was horrible. Cash bar only. The jokes and crude innuendos were not funny. We all left early and had to grab dinner somewhere else. It wasn’t even worth staying the whole time and if we could get refunds we would.

Super fun experience! I had no idea what I was getting into when my friends suggested this, but I had a great time. The show is very lively and interactive, and the detectives consistently made me laugh throughout the night. Definitely a modern, funny take on murder mystery, not a stodgy, moody, period production.
The food was good, opening with a salad and a little cheese crostini thing that was great. The main course wasn’t served til around 8pm, which was fine with me but if you’re used to eating dinner earlier, maybe grab a snack before hand. I had the chicken with mashed potatoes and veggies, and it was a pretty big, thick piece of chicken breast with some kind of brown teriyaki-ish sauce that I loved. My wife added some extra salt to her potatoes and veggies but I liked them as they were. Better to be under salted than over salted. There was also a fish option and a vegetarian option that looked like a big stuffed pepper of some kind. Dessert was a small, round, red velvet cake with some kind of cream cheese frosting/whip on top and that was really top tier. I powered through mine and I finished my wife’s too when she said she was too full. There was also a nicely stocked bar, but I was driving so I stuck to the complimentary coffee station.
The show is in a ballroom at the Marriott and it was very clean and nice looking. The chairs were comfy too, which is important to me if I’m going to be in them for a few hours. The staff and servers were super friendly and on top of things, replacing and clearing things before it ever became an issue. I don’t think I even had to ask for anything all night.
The mystery itself was a lot of fun! Most of my group guessed the killer right but we missed some of the details on why they did it. One friend was wayyy off. But he also got to be on a first name basis with the bartender that night. And isn’t exactly someone I’d nominate to be a detective anyway. So, take that as you will. You definitely have to pay attention to detail to get it all but if you read the clues, and…aren’t toooo drunk, it’s a fun puzzle to piece together!
Overall, my whole group had a wonderful time, and I’m excited to come back soon since one of the actors after the show told us they should be rotating to a new script later in the year. It was a fun and unique way to spend a Saturday night for sure and I can’t wait to do it again!
Parking: Paid structure at the hotel or metered street parking if you care to look for it. We didn’t.

This was so fun! The show is so funny, and the detectives are so good at witty banter with the audience. There were many amazing moments that totally surprised me. I didn’t win, but once the detectives pieced all the clues together, I could see how they were connected. The actors were great, and the service staff so accommodating. Would recommend for a date night, birthday celebration, or adult family gatherings!

It was a cool experience to have, but it could have been way better. First, the dinner lasts for 4 hours, and midway got really boring. The acts after 20 minutes went from entertaining to just dragging it. Dinner starts at 6 pm with a salad ready for you to eat, but didn't get the actual dinner till 8 pm? Why is that? People were annoyed and really hungry, wondering when we were actually going to eat. People even left to get snacks. The dinner tasted like it was just frozen. I had the chicken entree, which was very dry, tasteless, fake mash potatoes, and seasonless. The fun part was talking to suspects, but overall, it was not worth the money.
Update: Mashed potatoes are definitely powered with added water!
