Absolutely delicious, we came last night after a whole hour of trying to figure out what to eat and the Godmother did not disappoint. We had the cannoli, the arancini, and the lemon pasta and omg it was so good. Try new things, be open to experiences and you’ll find a spot like The Godmother Sicilian Comfort Food in your backyard.

It’s always great to see Giuseppina and enjoy her authentic Italian food. Her Arancina was delicious — I highly recommend trying her tasty food if you are visiting LGB!
Giuseppina is such a gem! My husband and I found out about her when she first started setting up shop around LB, but she really found a loyal community in Belmont Shore.
Having traveled to and lived in Italy, I can safely say her food is truly Italian made and the arancini are just like I had when in Italy. She is kind, hardworking, and simply wants everyone to enjoy her cooking. Hope to see her open her own restaurant someday!

The Godmother Sicilian Comfort Food is a beloved food stand in Long Beach, right by the Belmont Pool. It is a black tent with a cool neon light, offering authentic Italian food with local neighborhood vibes. Everything is made fresh and delicious, with main dishes like pasta and risotto made on the spot. Popular items include the incredible bolognese, the absolutely delicious pesto pasta, and the sausage and mushroom risotto. The arancini, especially the ragu arancini, is to die for and is like a handheld portable Italian dish fried golden brown crispy. The cannolis are soooo good, filled when ordered to keep the shells crispy, with a filing that is so delicious; the pistachio one is particularly noted. The details matter, making the food amazing. The owner is the sweetest woman, and the service is very kind, sometimes providing samples like almond cookies while customers wait. Payment is by cash, Zelle, or Venmo. It is usually open Thursday through Sunday after 5pm, and following the Instagram story is recommended to know the schedule. It is a great place that provides a treat and a great experience.
