The Pizza Place & Garden Cafe

Last week was the first time we visited this restaurant. But It is obviously not the last. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the generous service, with the superb food and booze and with the honest payment. We will definitely come back in a short time.

Very good place for pizza and pasta. I had lunch here yesterday with my colleagues. The pizza is still hot and fresh daily. We did not get disappointed because we thought we might not like what we ordered yesterday than our usual order from our previous visit. No doubt, this is the best pizza restaurant in the city!

We had an amazing at this restaurant. We loved the great atmosphere and the food. The staff members were super friendly. I’m content we ultimately decided to visit here.

UPDATE: Jan 2020. Pizza Place has been closed LONG TERM. The owner passed away so at this point the family is working to re-open the restaurant. As of March 2020 there is no expected date for reopening and it's quite possible the restaurant may never reopen.

Eat here more than I should :) The food comes in large portions at a fair price and the staff is very friendly. Love the outdoor seating and dog friendly!

Sadly, we went yesterday and it was closed. Evidently one of the owners passed away. I hope they reopen soon, it's a favorite.

The staff's incredibly accomodating attitude and ideal large patio (dogs welcome) almost overshadow the quality of the excellent diverse food, great for dinner or drinks and appetizers, Italian meatballs being a favorite, and don't miss the 5 dollar agave margaritas!

I really like this spot because the food is great, first and foremost. The fact that they have some parking, is nice, too, because that's incredibly rare for businesses in this area. I've had a couple of issues with the restaurant, though, the first being that we went on a Monday evening at about 8:40, because it said it was open until 10pm on Google Maps, but it turned out they close at 9pm. They wouldn't even seat us, knowing that their business has the wrong closing time listed on Google and they're still open for another 20 minutes. The second issue was an order I placed with them on Grub Hub, where they received the order from the app and it got accidentally marked as completed, as it was similar to another order and when I called, well over an hour after I ordered the food, I found this out. To make getting my food quicker, I placed the order, again, but this time over the phone, for pick up. When I got to the restaurant, they didn't charge me for the order and the girl working the cash register apologized, which was very cool that they made everything right. All that being said, stuff happens and that's ok. The food is good enough here and the location is great (especially with the parking), such that I will continue to patronize this business. It's not a 4 star restaurant, but it's not entirely cheap, either.

The food and services were very good. Recommend place for good pizza in long beach.

Very nice place - pizza, wings and calamari were delicious and their prices are fair.
