Winchell's Donut House

Sometimes you walk in and they leave you waiting for 30 minutes happened more than once over the course of 10 years. This happens late night 3am, no one else is in there so I just walk out.

You can see the guy in the back moving around so I say hello and make my presence known but get straight out ignored.

I usually go to this store to buy some donuts and I decided to write a review today due to some unwanted service experience.

One of the staff was training a new hire making some shake. I been patiently waiting for them to finish whatever they are doing and then the phone rang, the staff training the new hire picked up the phone and took the order over the phone.
This is what upsets me. I have been waiting there before the phone call and he had more time to take the order over the phone more than the customer who is already the store. Thankfully, the new hire recognized me.

The management needs to train the employees better like making sure they recognize all customers coming in. I felt like I been left out as if I don't matter there and giving priority on other customers who came after me.

Our car was UNLAWFULLY towed after our purchase! We will be reaching out to corporate regarding this incident and the media for suing them! Horrible company for doing this to PAYING CUSTOMERS! None of their signage states how long we can park there for OR that we have to stay with our car the whole time!
We will NOT be letting this go! Horrible company!

On Monday November 4th, 2024. An unknown White truck committed a hit & run injuring me and a child. I immediately contacted the manager at this location, who stated I would have to contact the corporate headquarters. I have called for a week, first person I spoke to stated they did not see the accident on camera with no date or time of the accident(first lie), the second person stated they will review the footage and contact me in a day or two(second lie). The third person stated the cameras do not record long(third lie). I have been in extreme pain and speaking to the Long Beach Police department who are pending a detective for my case. I have been coming to this location for a while now and I’m extremely disappointed in the inconsideration, lack of help and blatant disregard for a crime that was committed in front of this store. The driver got away because of this parking lot. I have asked for just the license plate. I do not need the footage. I will be expecting a call or text within 72 hours, please note that this case will soon be forwarded to a lawyer and LBPD. Please cooperate and have compassion.
