I want to give this place higher rating. I feel like the consistency isn’t there yet. The bagels are phenomenal, but I feel like if you’re ordering a bagel sandwich, the cheese should be melted and it should be hot. I’ve gotten a bagel sandwich before here and they gave it to me with melted cheese, and it was hot. However, I just came in this morning and they gave me a sandwich that was lukewarm. I don’t know if my tip was low if you’re going to a restaurant and ordering hot food, you expect the food to be hot. I’m gonna put my review that said I do like this place. The bagels are phenomenal. They just need to be more consistent with their service and get better service to their customers because we’re not gonna come back if sometimes the sandwiches are hot and sometimes they are not. I’m saying $15 for a bagel sandwich I want it to be HOT. I’ve put two pictures one is when they made my bagel hot and the other one is when I ordered it this morning and it was not hot and cheese was not melted.

Good cafe. Tasty fresh bagels. Had a hot mocha and cappuccino. Both were great. Limited indoor seating. Free parking available.

If you’re serious about coffee—and I mean serious, like you’ve ever debated brew ratios at a dinner party—then the code roasted by 1802 Roasters is something you need in your rotation. Maybe even on your altar.
The “Code” roast is one of those rare coffees that makes you pause mid-sip and reevaluate your taste buds. It’s not just good—it’s dialed. Roasted with precision, clearly by someone who has studied the bean like a language, the Code is smooth, deep, and balanced without falling into any of the traps that make specialty coffee sometimes feel… exhausting. No overwhelming acidity, no overbearing fruit bomb nonsense. Just this elegant, grounded expression of craft.
What sets it apart is the clarity—each flavor note in the cup is present without fighting for your attention. There’s a warm, nutty backbone that gives way to subtle cocoa and maybe even a hint of dried fig or pipe tobacco, depending on your brew method. Whether you’re pulling espresso or doing pour-over, it holds up and even evolves.
Equally impressive is that the Code doesn’t lose its soul with milk. It plays beautifully with oat, whole, or whatever alt-latte situation you’re into. That alone earns it a spot on any discerning coffee person’s shelf.
1802 Roasters isn’t mass-producing a vibe—they’re crafting a code (pun intended) for what modern coffee should be: intentional, clean, and built to last beyond trends. The bag itself looks like it belongs in a Scandinavian design shop, but it’s what’s inside that matters.
In short, the Code roast is a love letter to people who care about coffee—without ever being pretentious about it. Just smart, soulful roasting done right.

The bacon egg and cheese bagel on everything was great but the whitefish salad bagel tasted like canned sardines or anchovy which isn't really my thing. Overall really solid spot and would definitely go back for their fresh baked bagels and delicious coffee.

1802 Café is a small coffee roaster and coffee shop based in Cypress Park, Los Angeles. They have a modest selection of coffee and tea blends (hot/cold). Similarly, they offer bagels for breakfast.
From the outside, you can hardly notice 1802 because it blends well with other bldgs. However, once inside your eyes wil be transformed how modern and organized this cafe. They have limited rear parking lot. Drinks were fairly priced. Staff were cool and affable. I had a small 1802 Cold Brew x milk. And it was good; perfect on a hot afternoon.
Overall, I had a good drink and experience.
