“Wifey and I had a wonderful experience tonight at Ile is home. We were visiting LA and wanted to find some good African food. We were familiar with the concept of Ile is home and always wanted to try it. I am so glad we did. It felt like we were at home with my cousins eating amazing food and having a great concept. It was def something new for us and but I am so glad we did it bc it was and experience we will never forget. The price is worth it bc you get even more than what you pay for. It’s like the best of Africa right in LA. Can’t wait to come back and bring more family and friends so they can experience our new favorite place in LA“

“Celebrated my sister birthday and it was a hit. Our waiter, Paul was helpful and suggested that Moroccan feast and it was plenty of food for everyone in our group, 7 in total. Every dish that came out was delicious, especially the lamb meat.
A little tip, the Empanada looking dish had overeasy egg inside so if you are not a yoke person, suggest to take it out once it cools down.
Also, tip is included with bill so don't make a fuss about it.
Definitely recommend anyone wanting to try a different dish while experiencing the culture without leaving the country. The belly dancing was entertaining.“

“Drop everything and go eat at Nkwagala Concept! 😋 OK but seriously, plant eaters, meat eaters, everyone.... this is some of the best food I've had in my whole life! The flavors are mind-blowing. Like a homemade meal and the best restaurant food come together. I drove 30 mins to get it because sadly I do not live close. My faves: James Brown Salad and the Egusi! I actually ordered extra and froze it 🤣 Everything is delicious and I can't believe we don't have more amazing food like this. I've attached a bunch of photos, they are the JB salad, the Egusi, the Biko Soup and the Katogo (🤤). My preference is to eat it with rice instead of the fufu, but I know many people enjoy the fufu, I just find the flavors are yummier with rice (or just alone). Please support this restaurant instead of all those chains, one because they deserve it! and two so I can keep eating here! Thanks SO much Nkwagala, I'll be back sooooon. 😁“

“I love it here. Tiny spot so reservations are a must. Plenty parking in the back (aka the Ralph’s parking). Everything I ate made me happy. The appetizers are worth every penny and every bite is an experience. I followed suggestions I saw on social media and the hummus and lamb app with , a jollof platter (plus a couple other plates I loved but can’t remember) did not disappoint. The staff is super knowledgeable and nice so they can help you make a decision. One cocktail and one glass of wine made me wish I was going out after but it was a Thursday and I chose sleep!“

“The atmosphere was really amazing and welcoming the very moment I got there,
Aside the fact that the food(jollof) I ordered took a bit longer than I expected the wait was definitely worth it. Definitely a an amazing place to experience“

“The food is great and service is great too. the restaurant has a homey vibe and you can definitely go there and chill. Its always a good time when we go there for dinner and I will always go back. They have a traditional nigerian menu that tastes like your mom made it. Stop here when you want a good homecooked nigerian meal.“

“I have been wanting to try this place out for quite a while now. I stay downtown Los Angeles, so it’s a bit of a distance to drive. Since the closing of the Vuuka lounge downtown, there isn’t much of a choice when it comes to African cuisine. Yesterday, which was Sunday I finally had a chance to try it while on break at work. I placed my order online and picked it up from the restaurant myself. I ordered the jollof combo plate and peppered goat soup. Both were very delicious and well seasoned. I did not sit and eat inside the restaurant, so I can’t really tell you guys how the atmosphere is but what I can say is that it is definitely a place everyone should try“

“EDIT: MUCH BETTER! So much better! The drastic improvements to the service coupled with the delicious food made me change my review from 1-star to 5. My husband is obsessed and he’s not even nigerian ?.
Mama Veronica, you have done well.
*original review below from 2 years ago*
Worst service in the history of worst services. I placed an order 2HOURS in advance, drove all the way from Orange County to pick it up in Inglewood (if you from LA you know how bad that drive can be) only to be told one of my main orders isn’t available and I would have to wait ANOTHER 40mins for the rest.
Lady, hire more cooks, prep beforehand or something because this is ridiculous. I wouldn’t mind waiting usually because the food is good but wait AND be expensive? Not coming back here again. Food is good but the hassle is not worth it. At all.“

“Incredible food and service. Our waiters name was Christian; he was personable, kind, and hospitable. The food was mouthwatering and had such unique flavors. HUGE portions and definitely comfort food as they state. Will definitely be returning to check out the new menu each month.“
