I love this place 😍☺️ the best coffee in Los-Angeles
Alfred's coffee is great. I had the large cafe mocha with extra shot, it was very good.
I have never been to this Alfred’s before. I really liked the large nicely decorated space, the excellent service, and the outstanding coffee. However I won’t be returning. There is no customer restroom. Unfortunately that is a deal breaker for me. Coffee gives me the urge to go; I always thought that was a common phenomenon. Maybe Alfred’s patrons have large bladders. Or maybe the wear adult diapers? Anyway I’m sad, as I really liked everything else about this Alfred’s location.
I work near by so regularly come here for matcha, their cloud cream and regular matcha latte is delicious when done right! The staff is honestly terrible, unprofessional and unfriendly with their unwelcoming smiles. I’ve had a lingering cold and cough so usually order my drinks with no ice and one specific employee is always so bothered with making my drinks with no ice. I understand that the cloud cream comes in one size ( per my understanding from what one employee told me) to ensure the taste, since everything is pre measured. But with asking for no ice all she does is add more milk after mixing the portions. Which I can be thankful for but then it just makes the drink taste like just milk, no taste of matcha when I questioned her about it she said then don’t order it without ice… I dread when I walk in and she’s there, her facial expression speaks volumes.
Stopped in for an Americano. The person taking my order acted like they didn’t want me there and gave me an annoyed smile when I said it was to go. Coffee was mid, but fairly quick.
I recently had an incredible experience with Alfred Coffee in Westwood through Uber Eats! I ordered the Steak Breakfast Burrito with Chipotle Aioli, the Espresso Cloud Cream with Plant-Based Coconut, Caramel Syrup, Local Honey, and Macadamia Milk, and a 24oz Iced BOLT Clean Energy Drink with Simple Syrup, Coconut Milk, and Macadamia Milk. Everything was absolutely amazing!
I also lucked out with a 60% off coupon, which made it an absolute steal. Without the discount, it might be a bit on the pricey side, but it’s clear that Alfred Coffee is an upscale establishment.
Since I ordered through delivery, I can’t comment on the ambiance or service inside the store, but my delivery driver was fantastic! Overall, a definite 5-star experience.
One of my favorite coffee shops in LA so far!
I thought it was funny how the female barista had this indignant, bîtchy expression on her face when I told her that I found a gift card. She seemed so angry about it, like I just spit on Gandhi's grave. Yes, I FOUND it! Don't worry about where it came from. The funds aren't coming out of your check! You get paid the same either way. 🙄

Really nice coffee, we had a vanilla latte and an iced lavender latte, both delicious. Staff really friendly too.

Great coffee. Unfriendly staff. Not a greeting or a “thank you for visiting
“ or even a “goodbye”.

Consistently good coffee even if it isn’t quite the star that it was when it first opened (different machines maybe?). The beans are still good and the pastries have bumped up a notch since they switched sources. The Levain wanna be chocolate chip walnut cookie is one of the better cookies around-so that will draw me in more often for sure.

I liked the pastries and some coffees here (not all of what I tried). At the beginning, I felt attracted for the atmosphere but found that it's too noisy most of the times. Anyhow, I kept coming back for the pastries for a while in my less busy days. But eventually they delivered the news that they don't have customer bathrooms anymore, and that is upsetting. From that point of view, this is not a good spot for dine in, neither a good place for focus-time. I would say, this is a take out coffee shop. And would recommended to don't get too adventurous in your coffee choices here, because some varieties can be disappointing.

The woman in front of me was dripping sweat, the girl behind the counter was "fixing" her ear, the cash register girl was taking care of the payments and then pouring me a pre-preparead milk tea. I asked for easy ice, I still got plenty of it. I left the place with an uneasy feeling, to put it nicely. Not coming back.

From a UCLA student: do not see this place as viable to host a study session at. No outlets, overpriced drinks, no restroom.
