I could tell they were made from scratch with care.

Excellent option for people with dietary restrictions - dairy, gluten, nuts. Bison ragu and buckwheat pancakes are so good. And the chocolate chip cookies! 🤯

My wife and I go to Amara Kitchen at least 2-3x a month. It’s one of our favorite neighborhood spots. We love it here! Our favorite menu items are the vegan burrito and the bison burrito. We also love the pastries (the vegan corn muffin and the crumble are both so yumm!) and ice coffee with Amara milk. They are dog friendly (there’s nice outdoor seating) and the staff is friendly. It can get very busy on weekends, so if you’re in a rush, I recommend ordering online and picking up to skip the line (pickup option is almost always ready within 20 minutes). Also for those who have a gluten allergy: my mother is celiac and the kitchen took extra care to prepare her a delicious gluten free burrito which she thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you, Amara, for our many delicious weekend breakfasts!

Friendly staff and good food, with lots of vegan options, but the place was a little small without a lot of options for where to sit. I know that can't really be helped but it would have been nice to not feel crammed while eating.

I ordered the vegan breakfast burrito, which was very flavorful and stuffed full of good ingredients, but I would skip one of the fancy drinks next time, as it was kind of flavorless for how much I paid for it. It was very nice that they swapped out honey for simple syrup though. They will swap out non-vegan ingredients for vegan ones if you ask.

Amara rocks. Im not veg or vegan and i almost always get their veg or vegan sando/burrito. And the salads?! Come on! Insane that a breakfast salad ia this good. Purple or green, drip or cortado, Amara rocks it, HARD.

Love this place! The best Venezuelan chocolate latte, churros, and empanadas you will find in SoCal. I return even though I dont live in pasadena anymore.
Their proprietary coco powder is so uniquely delicious and lasts for months… a great addition to your morning cafe.
Their special blend of coffee beans are roasted by specifically roasted by Jones coffee (excellent local roastery).
Every revisit never disappoints but only continues to impress!

Always looking for GF options and somehow this place showed up today on my feed. OMG how did I not find it before? I didn't get photos of our food but everything was delicious - I did bring a couple goodies home and I am eating the cupcake as I write this. To make the experience even better? Montana who was taking our orders. Spot on recommendations and patience while we asked lots of questions about other items. My friend said she could here every day - I concur.

Loved this spot! It had incredible food! Came here with my friend (her pick) and it did not disappoint. I had the purple eggs, she had the green eggs, and we shared the buckwheat pancakes. The pancakes had a crumbly texture and were tasty. I also grabbed a matcha and a cookie to go both were fantastic. The staff was nice and the place has a lovely atmosphere for a Sunday brunch, a weekday breakfast or a weekday lunch. Highly recommend.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Amazing croissant breakfast at Cafe Amara!
Stopped by with a friend and tried their ham, egg, and cheese croissants — and wow! The croissant was warm, flaky, and buttery, stuffed with perfectly cooked eggs, savory ham, and crispy bacon. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The iced coffee was smooth and refreshing too.

Great spot for a casual and cozy breakfast. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend if you’re in the area and craving something delicious.
