If you aren't looking out for this donut spot then you will miss this gem. This is the classic donut stand from when I was a child. Their donuts are yummy and everyone is super friendly parking is tight and I believe they charge for using credit card below a certain amount. I enjoyed my cinnamon roll - yummy!
When we moved to Highland Park in 2008 I tried all the donut shops in the area and fortunately for me, the best one turned out to be Donut Star, which also happens to be the one closest to my home. Lucky me. The service is always as good as their outstanding donuts and they're always well stocked. They also have a nice ice cream selection for those rare days when a donut isn't what you want and an ATM makes it handy to grab some cash. I'm so happy they're in my neighborhood!

Wonderful donut shop to buy from the shop owners are very polite, they're always friendly every time i come to buy Donuts. The Donuts are always fresh and very soft, i buy from here once a week. If you come early in the morning, you'll have plenty of parking on the lot as well as almost Zero traffic. I love coming here and will continue to do so for as long as i keep living in Highland park. By the way, if your into ham and cheese croissants, you gotta try theirs. They taste great...read full review
