They are not accommodating to food restrictions, and their menu does not give a heads up on that. I looked at the menu before making a reservation and thought I would be able to eat most of their plates. I'm celiac and have a peanut allergy. When the waiter came back I could only eat 3 items on the menu.

Absolutely amazing! Truly one of the finest dining experiences we've had. We've been in LA a little over 10 years and have had the privilege at eating at some of the best spots; Providence, N/naka, Crustacean, to name a few. Angler is right up there, the food and service was to die for. Our favorites were the hot fried collar, the scallop and of course the sunday! Don't forget to try their fun cocktails, and their somme will help you navigate their very deep wine list. Truly an amazing dinner, we can't wait to go back!!!

We Love, Love, LOVE this restaurant. We chose Angler to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. We shared everything we ordered and everything was delicious and a perfect proportion. Tuna tartar, Brussels Sprouts, Cod, Vermillion, Seaweed fried rice, Steak. Perfect for 3 of us. The restaurant surprised us with a champagne starter and a yummy Ice cream sundae for dessert. Our server, Brianna was friendly, attentive and informative. We were well taken care of at all times. We highly recommend Angler and we look forward to going back real soon.

We enjoyed all our dishes and drinks and service was very good. The Vermillion dish and the Blue Ocean cocktail were favorites. We were unclear about the menu organization but ordered as we went and that worked well for us.

Truly an amazing night! Perfect decor, vibe and service. We started with cocktail, you HAVE to get the catch and release! after that our server suggested an omakase style wine pairing their by the glasses with certain dishes and it was phenomenal. we LOVED the cockles, the swordfish skewer and the tuna! lastly you cant not get their ice cream Cant wait to come back!

Angler did not disappoint! Every dish was awesome - the vermillion was a highlight! The wait staff was extremely attentive in taking my husband's shellfish allergy into account- we hope to come back!

Another great night at angler! I just love how quick the servers and everyone come greet you and bring water. Never have to look around to find your server!!! Tonight we tried their Murray Cod, Caesar, Hot fried Collar and of course the cheesy bread! We started with their amazing cocktails and then jumped into wine. Cant forget the sundae at the end. Such an amazing dinner!!!

What they did to the fish, especially the swordfish, is a crime. All the ingredients drowned in spices (collar) and oil (cod)... or in the swordfish's case, achieved the impossible of destroying the texture and integrity of one of the meatiest fish into mush. Begs the question of whether they are hiding the fact that the ingredients aren't fresh or their inability to handle seafood.

We had a spectacular meal at Angler last night...truly inventive and delicious. Service was spectacular. Love seeing so many smiles on the face of staff, and the ambiance is very decadent. Best dishes were the cockels innsambal, the bluefin n'duja, the emberred oysters and the diver scallop, honorable mention goes to the capon wing...avoid the iberico pork very underwhelming. This is one if those funnplaces you could make a meal out of the drinks and appetizers. Oh...and the presentation of the ocean dreams cocktail was so fun and don't miss the soft serve with cocoa nibs and charcoal caramel sauce. One complaint was the valet. Its very convenient but they left early and didn't inform amy of the guests that they had gone and given our keys to the bar. Communication would have been appreciated. Overall a very beautiful and delicious meal. As an fyi, read the fine print on the menu, 20% Service Charge is added on every check.

Very loud music, like dining in a club. Went there for fish and found it very disappointing: swordfish more pineapple slices than fish, scallop was ok and whole fish sea Bream was terrible. It was over cooked, fishy tasting, hard not delicate. They offered free dessert when we commented on our food which was kind. Truly missed the mark as a fish restaurant. Service was slow. Brought the rice after we were more than half done w our meal. Getting the check took way too long. Will not be returning.

I have heard of their San Francisco, one Michelin star, location for many years so I have been really looking forward to trying this Los Angeles location close to where I live for quite some time. It’s located on the ground floor of the Beverly Center, however the entrance to the restaurant is from the street. There will never be an issue with parking because the giant mall parking structure is directly above it with escalators connecting right to where the front door is, plus they also offer valet right out front. The interiors are really great, meats, and dried herbs, hanging from the open kitchen, which is a personal favorite of mine, being that you can watch your dishes being prepared. We started off with the Caesar Salad, and although it was small in size, it was great in flavor. I wish it had more cheese on top, but still it was very good. Next came my favorite dish of the night: the Hot Fried Collar. It was honestly delicious, the spice rub on top was terrific. It almost tasted like chicken, but it was still juicy and I highly recommend it. Shortly after that arrived, our order of Cheesy Bread arrived and it is not to be missed. Filled with gooey cheese and delicious flavor. Next came the Iberian Pork which was a bit small in portion size but it too was very good in flavor. We topped off the meal with their one dessert on the menu, which is Soft Serve Vanilla Ice Cream with caramel sauce on top. It was terrific and went quickly.Overall a really great meal and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great date, dinner with friends, family, or business location.

The stars of our meal - cocktails including the zero proof options and the sundae! Otherwise, the food is not very good. The capon wing stands out as something that should not be on a restaurant menu. The meat is chewy, the skin isn't crispy and the stuffing is nondescript. We wondered how this dish ended up on a menu that is not very long at all. If you're still thinking of going, in addition to the sundae, I'd recommend the bluefish tuna and the hot collar.

My first visit at Angler. I was expecting more delicate flavors in our food order, but everything tasted just okay, considering the review and hype of the restaurant. The cocktail, ‘catch and release' was served in a cute blowfish bowl, which was a bit exciting. The Vermillion was refreshing cold appetizer but the BBQ Radish had a too strong seasoning, overpowering the radish. Same for the Embered Oysters. The toasted chili butter and lemon sauce should be sprinkled on too, not entirely covered the oysters. In general, quite disappointing.

My first time back since hey updated the design of the interior and refreshed the menu. Angler was our favorite restaurant in 2019 and the food, service and overall experience is just as good if not better. A little more casual, food is just as serious as before, but more shareable and the vibe is a little more casual. Beautiful open kitchen and the space seems brighter, more lively and open. Looking forward to going back and the pricing for this quality is one of the best in LA...so easy to go back for multiple visits. Looking forward to next time and very soon!
