We went for dinner before a concert without reservations and were able to dine at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. The service was good and friendly, the cocktails were very good. The menu is very creative—my wife selected the striped bass with cannellini beans and I ordered the red beet carnaroli risotto. Both were very good. We also enjoyed the berry shortcake and rice pudding.
First time there and all was absolutely delicious! Loved the ceviche, octopus roll, caviar & dark chocolate dessert. We ate at bar - going back to try the entrees! Would recommend!!!
Menu
Asterid, located near the Disney Concert Hall, offers an elegant and sophisticated dining experience. The menu features fascinating seafood dishes with delicate sauces, though portions may appear small. While the service can sometimes be disorganized and rushed, recent reviews highlight outstanding service from certain staff members. The location is convenient next to the Broad, making it an attractive spot for diners.
Though the sea-bass has received mixed reviews, with some finding it a bit dry, the Mouse and avocado appetizers stand out as outstanding choices. The menu can feel restrictive, and the dining experience may not always meet expectations, especially during private events where noise levels can be high. Despite these issues, the happy hour menu and prix fixe options remain popular among regulars.
