This was literally the weirdest experience I've had service wise at a fine dining restaurant. It took our server almost 30 minutes to come to our table and she seemed offended when I flagged her down and remarked that our server had not come by yet. She said “yes it's me” as if I should have known that, but how would I have as she never came by? Then, the pacing of the dinner was extremely odd and resulted in no dessert because of time, which then got delivered anyway...
Private room is very loud - basically an echo chamber. Servers seemed disorganized and rushed - never introduced themselves, didn’t start with a drink order - just started bringing out food, never checked to ask how the food was, served a prix fixe meal family style with no serving utensils - unsanitary, too casual,and tiny portions. Serving prix fixe menu family style was a major fail. The dishes they offer and not designed for sharing.

Disappointing brunch - After a recent excellent dinner before the LA Phil at Astrid I decided to return for brunch before a performance at The Music Center. The staff is always welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere is just the right balance of elegant relaxed casual. I ordered Chilaquiles which is a favorite since moving to LA.
