First time here for Dinner with Family and a loved one visiting from out of town. Pleasantly welcomed by our delightful Waitress. We placed our orders from their Menu. The Fried Chicken Dinner x 2, Hamburger with Fries, and a Turkey Dinner. For dessert two slices of pies. The food was delicious and service was very good! I recommend Astros! Thank you

It's like traveling back in time to when we used to go to Jan's Restaurant on Beverly blvd. This is Silver Lake, though, and this place has a special place in our hearts for us angelinos. Good food, good service.

Good old school American diners are a dying breed in L.A. Fortunately, we still have ASTRO keeping up the tradition. Here you'll find a no-frills menu of comfort food and friendly service with a smile (shout out to Gina, our favorite server - she's a pro through and through with a sparkling personality to boot). Open 24 hours to satisfy late-night munchies with ample free parking. Highly recommended.Vegetarian options: They have salads.Parking: Parking is easy and free here.Kid-friendliness: They have food choices for kids. Atmosphere is family-friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp and wheelchair friendly tables.

Totally old school…real retro that is well preserved, painstakingly maintained with top hygienic standards. Patty ( our daily waitress) is a superstar. How this restaurant is operated is gold standard in LA. Super professional and diner food at its best.Let’s just call it a diner’s culinary delight.

The Astro is a family favorite! I have a lot of childhood memories about waking up early and eating pancakes with my family! (The toy machines near the window were always a highlight as a kid and me and my mom still put in a quarter just for fun!).The food has always been very good and any issues or mistakes on an order have always been taken care of quickly by the staff who were always understanding and helpful! Some of the servers and staff are people I can recognize who have worked there for some time and they are always incredibly friendly and helpful! The atmosphere is very welcoming and the general layout/decor makes it seem like a retro ish diner with stools at the counter, booths near the windows, and the regular seating in the back area with the TVs. All together this restaurant is one of the restaurants that in the 20 years I have lived in LA, that I will always look forward to eating at!Thank you to the staff, chefs, and any other people working there who have made this restaurant such an awesome place to dine! ? ??The menu items that I personally enjoy most and would recommend to anyone would be:The six shooter breakfast (Pancakes, choice of bacon or sausage, eggs, etc)The Astro burger or the Mushroom burgerFish and chipsAnd the French toastThese are some of my family’s favorite items but so far we haven’t been unhappy with a meal yet! ??️Kid-friendliness: My sister and I have been eating at The Astro since we were little and we were always treated really kindly by staff and the waiters/waitresses were incredibly sweet! My family has been going to the Astro for family breakfast or lunch on the weekends for years! (Now that I am 20 and my sister is 14 we still adore the food and are always happy with the considerate and kind staff!)
