I was hankering for sushi while visiting LA and was excited to see Azao was open late, so I gave them a shot.
I had no idea that it was one of the many restaurants in this interesting drive-through/pick-up building. Walking up was really odd because I was expecting a singular restaurant. But hey, it was a fun experience!
The sushi itself was great and reasonably priced. Really glad I checked it out while visiting!

Traveled from Minnesota to LA for a fun trip, I love sushi so much and was craving it, bad, during a late night adventure. Azao was one of the only sushi places left that was open this late at night! I do wish the menu was more descriptive but I’m very familiar with Japanese food and their menus so it was easy to navigate for myself but may not be as easy for others. The food was ready in around 10 minutes and the guy who handed me my food seemed like a sweetheart (even though I only saw him for around 5 seconds)! Food was fresh and delicious, I stuck with some go-to items (Gyoza and Hot Knight), and they tasted so good! Don’t let the location or the fact that they only do takeout/delivery throw you off, this place was awesome. I wish I could stay longer to order again! Thanks so much Azao!

honestly horrifying and terrible experience. me (18y/o female) and two other friends walked up, ordered our food. since we made three different orders they were ready at different times. the front man made each of us walk individually to the K15 spot (about a two minute walk) just to knock awkwardly on the door to a dirty kitchen where the “chefs” handed me my order. this is in a bad part of town and there is no regard for the safety of the customers. looks like juman trafficking center no joke. ngl the food was very good

The mussels are perfect the eel omg the eel is soo good I honestly like everything. They are also on doordash if u don’t want to make the trip but I’m telling you it’s worth
