What happened to this place? I used to eat here a lot a quite a few years back. It was really good. I picked up a full rack of ribs last nite at $38. It was horrible. No flavor. Looked like they were boiled Didn't even eat half. What a rip off. Avoid the place

So we went here again after our first visit years back when Drives Diners Dives was there. Ordered a full rack of baby back ribs. This arrived to our table without any smoke ring or smoked flavor. I brought it to there attention and the manager agreed that it wasn't smoked. Said he will talk to the cook. Super SAD. He did offer to replace it. I chose the brisket. The brisket did have a smoke ring but was tuff. Sad to say this isn't a top notch BBQ place anymore. I gave two stars cause they where honest and gave the brisket. My last visit here.

The location is cool. Food price is a bit pricey. The bbq is just okay but the okra side dish was really good.

Cool place! I loved the collard greens and the BBQ ribs. Came here on May 8, 2021 at random after shopping around Silver lake flea market and we randomly decided to come here. The register dude was kinda weird as he made jokes about the bathroom but made a straight face about it. We asked for a cup of water and he asked if he can use the bathroom water So yeah, that's probably the only comment that I had that made us uncomfortable - other than that, food is cool.

I already had a idea to me what good BBQ was, I grew up in Kansas City, MO. So when I first visited BabyBluesBBQ at their West Hollywood location (now closed) I feel like I already had them at a disadvantage with the extremely high expectations I set for the food. They were all shattered, it was impressive how good every single thing I ordered was! So when I chose to drive 30 minutes to have BBQ from the Echo Park location, I felt like they'd have to really blow it out of the park to justify the travel time to pick up food to go. Not only was the food ready for me, but it was piping hot, fresh, and exactly what I ordered. It had the same rich flavor that I remembered from the other location. They even gave me extra dessert for free. All the fixin's were already included, I didn't have to ask for pickles or sauce or anything. And the staff was so accomodating, and even though the were closing as I pulled up, I never once felt rushed, and I could've asked for anything. All-in-all, if I could rate higher than five stars, BabyBluesBBQ would definitely be getting as many as I could give them. They brought back a little piece of home for me. They were so friendly, and attentive... The food was so good... I know when I go to sit down at the restaurant to eat I will feel like I'm back in Kansas City, and for me, that feeling is priceless! Thank you, BabyBluesBBQ!

Awesome! Went in by chance and thoroughly enjoyed both the experience and the food. Had the Blackened Catfish sandwich and was amazed how good it was. Couldnt recommend this eatery any more.

The cashier was friendly but not great at answering our questions or pointing us in the right direction for food that wasn't dry. I did try to ask her recommendations for that day. She wasn't helpful. Beer was cold and Texas rib was good (I've had it here before and it's been better). The brisket was very dry and just wasn't good brisket, the Memphis ribs were dry as well and then there were the baby backs - no one ate because they were super dry. Food did not seem fresh. Surprised the establishment would serve this low standard food, especially for the price of our meals... we really were expecting more. The spicy bbq sauce was tasty and the sauces all around were great but what's the point of good bbq sauce if the meat is not well prepared or good quality to begin with? As for sides: collard greens, we all enjoyed them. The cornbread, mac and cheese and spinach were just OK. We spent some good money at Baby Blues BBQ and won't be going back. I don't recommend it. Don't waste your money.

Great sliced brisket sandwich, not a coleslaw fan but loved this one. The mac n cheese easily the best. Catfish sandwich YES. Smoked chicken a hit. Mashed sweet potatoes yum. Banana pudding the best I've had. Key lime pie not as tart nor as sweet as many simply delicious. Engagining and personable staff.

Delicious! Loved the potato salad! Got the three meat and two sides. The pulled pork was my favorite meat. Very lean brisket (I like fatty cuts, maybe I'll ask next time). Bark on the ribs was good! Thank you!

Food is definitely bbq'd at some point. And food is definitely microwaved to order.

The ordering/dine-in situation is slightly confusing. It seems to be more of take-out spot. In addition, the cashier had a wry sense of humor which came off more rude rather than funny. The food came out in no longer than 3 minutes which I guess should have already been a red flag. To start, the baby back ribs tasted stale and barely had any sauce. The meat was not even close to tender and did not fall off the bone like good ribs should. The creamed spinach were less "creamy" and more simply drenched. Corn bread was burnt at the bottom which made it hard to chew. The mac and cheese was bad; it was dry and had an odd fishy flavor (I even asked my friend if there was crab meat in it). The mashed potatoes were probably the most decent part of the meal but that didn't even come with any gravy or condiments--I've had better mashed potatoes from fast food chains. My friend and I had to ask for paper plates despite them knowing we were dining there. Overall, one star for the food. My friend and I were starving as well so even mediocre food should have tasted fantastic to us at that point. But it still ended up disappointing us. I am giving an extra star for the ambience and the other guy working there (who brought out the food/drinks) because he was actually very nice and even gave us a free banana pudding. I probably wouldn't come back or recommend this place to anyone.
