Bacari Silverlake + Bar Bacari

The food and drinks were all amazing. Have been here many times and will keep coming back for more :P

We reserved a table for 5 and got seated at a table for 4 with an extra chair. Very tacky. Final dishes came out 1.5 hours after we arrived and everything else has been eaten. We need dishes would be staggered but not like that!

Well our server took forever to bring out our last dish and honestly we should have just cancelled it at that point or our server could have just comped it for us. As a matter of fact we only saw our server at the beginning of our dinner then at the very end. Other servers are the ones who brought our food and refilled our waters. Some of the dishes were great the other half were okay but not worth their price like that fancy “ Mediterranean” corn which looked and tasted just like any Mexican street corn was way over priced but tasty. Plus that Oxacan pasta is the dish that came out like 40 mins after all our other dishes was just okay and a tiny amount not worth ordering either.

Umm, there was this guy Wade? Kind of a creep… I don’t think he’s even a server, but he kept coming up to the table and being really weird to the women.

Service and ambience is totally stellar, as is the cocktail list. The food is good, but I wish they would rotate the menu more. But a gorgeous relaxing spot with fantastic service and wine list and cocktails.

The patio dining is extensive and beautiful; one of the prettiest outdoor spaces I’ve ever dined in. Eating under large trees and surrounded by bamboo and lights. Photos don’t do this place justice. The food comes in small bites. We had the scallops, octopus, gem salad and broccoli. All was delicious.

Not normally one to take the time to leave reviews but had the best dinner experience here last night. They have a separate menu for every allergy / food restriction so you can feel safe about what you're eating - I haven't seen another restaurant with this and it was really refreshing. Impeccable staff, food, and ambiance. This will become my go-to dinner spot!

Excellent small restaurant chain with tapas-size dishes. The salatim with warm pita is one of the best dishes in LA.

Drake served our party of 14 tonight and absolutely killed it. He was attentive, energetic, and on it. He never missed any of our needs and made sure we were taken care of throughout. Thank you Drake!!

Paige provided our party with wonderful service. She was spot on with her menu recommendations, and was always very sharp at checking our table and making sure we were happy. In addition, we had great conversations throughout the night and she made my friend’s birthday the best ever! Give this woman a raise

Bacari Silverlake is first and foremost beautiful. The space on the outside is almost jungle like with beautiful trees and a canopy covering everything like a secondary roof. The inside is warm and well decorated and everything just makes you feel like you're having an experience. Then the food, there are so many options and almost all of them are delicious. I'm vegetarian and they have so many options and can turn many of the already present options vegan upon request. The servers are friendly and tend to be fun with lots of good banter and advice about food. And the food, again it's so good and it's plated aesthetically but not pretentiously. At night by candlelight, the atmosphere and the plating are great for people that love pictures. The food is reasonably priced for the level of care placed into each dish. I love the broccoli specifically with this incredibly unique tahini sauce. I also love the salatim with the world fluffiest pita bread and hummus/cashew pate that I never even dreamed could be so good. One of my favorite restaurants in LA, and my favorite in Silverlake.

I definitely expected to be writing a 5 star review. Unfortunately that’s not the case. I will definitely give credit where credit is due. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful! The outdoor garden area was one of the prettiest patios sections I’ve ever dined in. Also the drinks were delicious. Great wine selection, and handcrafted cocktails. My issue is with the service and the food. I had a reservation for 8:30. We didn’t get seated until 9. I asked for a table by one of the many heaters. They said no and gave us blankets. (Lol)
I will be blunt and say the food was nothing more than over rated, overpriced- glorified bar food; branded to be high end tapas style dining. Every single dish I ordered minus the charred broccoli completely missed the mark. The lettuce cups were extremely bland- something as simple as lemon juice would’ve made that so much better. Sea bass. Ok but again.. bland. Bacari fries were obviously frozen cheap shoestring fries with the skimpiest amount of sauce and a fried egg thrown on top. They were drier than the Sahara. Bacari burger(what even was that) open faced flavorless and over cooked. I didn’t know ciabatta buns were used for burgers. The Chicken Slider was passable because it was fried chicken on bread… Salmon was cooked great but again.. why so mid?? I really was expecting to be blown away. Nothing stood out. The server was to busy to refill our drinks, the lady I asked for an extra plate scoffed and said “well I was going to the kitchen but I guess now I have to stop and get you a plate”. To which I replied with an awkward silence.. this is just not the place to celebrate someone. This is a place you come to drink and take pretty pictures…
