Horrible service. Our server was rude. First they messed up our order. Then our order super late. when we asked for it to be boxed to go, they cancelled it. No apology, no responsibility. Just a bad attitude and awful experience all around.

Terrible experience. The hosts do not know how to host. The woman rolled her eyes when we were leaving AFTER messing up our order twice which was already 30 mins delayed! Then cancelled it when I said can you box it. Once we complained to the manager, she rolled her eyes like why are you complaining after 30 mins + cancelling the order that was supposed to be boxed! Avoid it if you have any self respect

Wonderful wine bar with delicious food. Only oddity are the small standing tables behind the bar, unfortunate that they couldn't widen the restaurant by 6 inches to allow for more seating.

Come for lunch to avoid waiting in a queue! We loved trying the madeira sweet wine. For 2 people, probably 5-6 dishes is recommended. We loved the tuna and fish croquettes, would pass on the potatoes (not as crispy).

The food is okay, not quite the same as what I had in Portugal, I can only say that the items are similar. Pork sandwich, very oily. The few poor shrimps were not well seasoned and the garlic flavor was not present at all, but they are not cheap and can be skipped. The key point is to order it with shrimp sauce, 3-4 slices of tasteless bread that are so thin that they are translucent for $3? I'm starting to miss the shrimp I had in Portugal. When the waiter started changing the plates, I knew that the service charge must be included, and it was true. The timing of the change is very subtle. .

Barra Santos is definitely a restaurant to visit and you just can’t go wrong. If you want something different than the cuisine you’re used to, and you want something super tasty, go! You won’t regret it.Super cool atmosphere, great people. And the classic Portuguese Bifana! One of the best I’ve had!

Nice addition to the neighborhood this year— unpretentious and delicious wine & food. Chill out with either of the vermut on ice options or porto tonico, let the Iberico ham & cheese from the Azores melt in your mouth, be dazzled by the architectural and well conceived endive salad, and get a little messy with the rich bifana sandwich. Serving sizes of everything were generous for a restaurant of this type and definitely suitable for sharing. And to cap it off, a lovely port, madeira, and sherry list if you like that sort of thing. We’ll be back to this James Beard nominee!

Tiny portion sizes that will leave you hungrier than when you came. Server forgot ordered items and there is a 20% service charge. The taste was aggressively average but the pork sandwich had a rubbery texture/taste (you’re basically eating bread because of the comically small sized layer of pork). Would highly recommend spending your time and money elsewhere. I rarely write reviews but I had to for this one.

I was excited to try Barra Santos. Place is lovely. Food is really good, but portions are small for the price. The service is why I would hesitate to return. We were in planning for a long night to try a few wines. We order our glass of wine and our food and the menus were taken away. They impose us with 20% tip on our check. Not great.Parking: Street parking.

My favorite restaurant I’ve tried in LA! Perfect date spot. The menu is perfection, such great vibes and as much as I love gate keeping this place I always recommend this place to my friends.

Waited about an hour on a weekend around 6pm. It’s cute and the wine was good. They asked us to leave after we had finished our food and bottles of wine which was kinda meh but I get it since it’s so popping- even though we had ordered quite a lot.

Very yummy food at a bit of a premium. Good wine, excellent vibes, staff was so friendly, we left the restaurant not quite full. The spot is primarily bar seating with some outside tables, so better for small groups or date night. Parking is street only and can be a bit difficult.
